Madoka Kaname | Puella Magi Madoka Magica
[it's a lovely, well manicured plant. nothing suspicious here at all. Madoka has a slight, patient smile on her face, but look at her directly and one might see a wisp of concern in her eyes, because nothing she's tried has worked.]
Are you sure you don't want to come out?
[something in the bush rustles, just barely — whatever pokémon is inside there is a rather small one.]
... All right. Take your time, okay? I'll wait. [Madoka is going to be here forever. probably.]
no subject
...Hey. What are you doing?
[He says it with a slow, tired sort of groan to his voice, but not a cranky or mean tone.]
no subject
[she straightens, dusts her self off, and turns to Dwyer. her concern's a little more obvious now.]
There's a cat hiding in there, and this phone — [a brief wave of the pokégear.] says it's mine! So ... I guess I'm just waiting for it to come out.
no subject
[So it's her Pokemon, then?]
If you want, you can try returning it to the...Pokeball thing? But...if you'd rather wait for it to come out on its own...you might be able to coax it out with food.
[Sage advice there, buddy.]
no subject
That's a good idea, thank you!
[heeding Dwyer's advice, she fishes out a piece of a sandwich from her bag, and places it on the ground as close to the bush as she can get it. then ... she sets the pokéball down next to the sandwich piece.]
[it's a start, anyway.]
no subject
It's worth a try, anyway. [He comes a little closer, looking at her offering curiously. His Wynaut friend pitter-patters around his feet.] Maybe it's a shy cat.
no subject
[and hopefully the Wynaut doesn't mind her bewildered stare, though, once she gets a good look at it.]
Um. Your pet is very cute! [she leaves the "but what is it?" unsaid.]
no subject
Yes. You don't seem scary at all, so I don't see why any cat might be skittish of you for long. [He glances down at his little blue friend.] Oh...thank you. This is Deere. They're something called...a Wynaut?
no subject
Maybe the cat needs a friend more his size! Do you think Deere would be willing to help?
Oh — also, my name's Madoka.
no subject
[Deere, of course, has been listening, and they make their way over to the bush slowly, giving the offered snack and Pokeball a wide berth as they call into the bushes. Hello in there? Who's hiding?]
Hm...well...they're going to try, at least. [He blinks at Madoka. Where are his manners? His father would be chiding him up and down the street for not introducing himself to a young lady.] My name is Dwyer.
no subject
[Deere won't find a cat, actually — it's a tiny little Eevee that has sort of... tried to burrow her way in the soil under the bush.
[she's hiding so she can pretend that "outside" isn't actually a thing. because "outside" means wild pokémon, and wild pokémon means she would have to battle.]
no subject
[The sentence is punctuated by a yawn as Deere bobs their head. You are very welcome for the help! Though, when the Eevee does come out, Deere is mindful of their distance. Don't want to scare the other Pokemon, after all.]
Ah...is that your cat?
no subject
[she bends down slightly, arms out to the Eevee — who, upon realizing that there's a new safe place to go aside from the bush, practically leaps into Madoka's arms.]
Thank you so much!

throws a trash lad at
[That is immediately what stands out about this small girl, and therefore, it's really all Wrath notices for the time being. He is immediately curious. Because he never sees those Pink Hair People outside of Pokemon Centers!]
[A shadow falls across Madoka, because of course he was going to investigate.]
Why are you outside?
[SHE MUST HAVE GOTTEN LOOSE...]
yeeeesss!
[but small steps. like actually meeting a Nurse Joy. and retrieving her pokémon from the bush. ... and, after being thoroughly startled, processing Wrath's question.]
Ah, I! [... "I walked out here." no, wait.] I'm trying to get my cat back. [she gestures at the bush.]
no subject
[Wrath tilts his head.]
Your cat?
[Okay, that's an acceptable reason. :T]
[He bends down to look into the bush, too!]
no subject
[Madoka watches Wrath, curious.] Is she all right?
no subject
But the butt looks normal.
[MAYBE THE REST OF IT IS SUPER MANGLED AND DEAD. HE DOESN'T KNOW! SCHRODINGER'S EEVEE.]
no subject
That's a relief! Do you think you can reach her? [Madoka crouches down next to Wrath, peering into the bush as well.]
[that question earns a muffled squeak from the Eevee. no, this is Eevee's new home, don't!]
no subject
[However, his bedside (... bush... side?) manner leaves... a lot to be desired.]
[Without any further ado, he reaches in, grabs the big bushy tail, and just pulls.]
no subject
[if Wrath is one thing, he is efficient at retrieving pokémon.]
Ah! Um ... Thank you ... but ... P-please don't hurt her!
[Madoka holds her hands out, hoping to take the Eevee back as gently as possible.]
no subject
She's not bleeding.
So she's fine.
no subject
That's true, but ... I guess she's just really scared, that's all. [maybe the best way to get her out was to just rip off the bandaid, so to speak, just as Wrath did.]
That was really nice of you to help me! Thank you.
no subject
You're welcome!
[Said with the emphasis of someone who doesn't get to say that very often and is really excited about it.]
no subject
My name is Madoka! What's yours?
