There is a great deal of cooperation between man and animal, back in Greece and the countries beyond, yes. Great hunters and their dogs, farmers and their livestock, families and their pets, horsemen and their - well, horses. But few live so closely as the people here do with their Pokemon! Perhaps the occasional master and his hound would go everywhere together, as they do here, but they were generally the exception.
