Crowley | Good Omens (TV)

1. New Bark Town

[Crowley sat on the front steps of...his?...house. Well. A house, at the very least. He'd woken up in it instead of his flat and something about the space had felt like home despite his confusion. Before him a small, green creature stood gazing up at him expectantly. Occasionally it said 'sniiii' or 'vy vy vy' or simply 'snivy'. A creature of few words, it seemed.]

.....rrrrrrright.

[He sighed. Snivy did as well. Clearly they weren't getting anywhere. Crowley had woken up with the little creature gazing up at him from the floor beside the bed and it hadn't left his side since. It was clearly trying to communicate but Crowley was too anxious about the whole situation to attempt to try to understand it before this moment. Why was he here? Where was here? Was this some trick from Down There to get back at him for giving them the slip? Was Aziraphale all right? Why had his powers left him? He'd asked these questions rapid-fire to the mostly empty bedroom originally and Snivy had followed him around as he paced the room, finally tugging on the leg of his trousers to get his attention.]

So...Pokémon. I know that. I get that. But you're not one I've ever seen before. Oi!

[He lifted his gaze from Snivy to the road just in front of the house, calling to whoever was passing by.]

Is this for real? This-

[He waved both of his hands slightly frantically, indicating everything around him.]

-all of this. Not some weird dream?

2. Edge of Route 29

[Crowley had let Snivy urge him along to the edge of New Bark Town after he'd freaked out a bit in his room, only to be booted out by a mysterious figure only known as 'Mom'. Wasn't the 'mom' he was used to, but she didn't let him back in the house, so he supposed in that regard she and his original Mother were the same. He let the little creature lead the way, watching as if in a daze while the Pokémon scampered here and there, his broad, flat tail twitching in the warm sun. Large, slitted eyes would occasionally glance back at him and, if Crowley wasn't moving fast enough for his liking, Snivy would return to his side. Finally the duo reached the road sign indicating they were starting down Route 29. It was here Crowley paused.]

Look, Lizard, I'm going to be frank with you. I don't know what's going on. I'm hungry. I'm tired. I think I have to piss? These are not things I'm used to being and I really, really don't want to walk down some- some path! Without knowing where I'm going!

[Snivy watched the outburst, clearly not impressed. He heaved a little 'sni' and waddled back towards Crowley, broad tail swishing in the sun. He reached one small arm up to pat the bag slung over Crowley's shoulder - he'd made sure his trainer had taken it from the house before they'd left. None of their supplies were going to fit into the pockets on his jeans - and after a moment, Crowley got the message.]

What- oh. Right.

[He pulled the bag off and rummaged around, finding something that reminded him a bit of his phone. He didn't waste any time and started fiddling with it. A few moments later a map was pulled up on the screen.]

....s'that me?

[He squinted a bit at the little dancing icon.]

...huh. Okay so...New Bark Town...nnn...route 29...

[Satisfied that his trainer had at least some idea of where they were going, Snivy turned to head down the path once more. Crowley, absorbed in the new yet familiar tech, followed along quietly, taking solace in the comfort of figuring out a new toy.]
