It's not her, it's him, really. Shrike's just terrible at interacting with people, one way or another. He quickly moves to pick up the Togepi, his motions as he scoops the little one up having the look of being very careful and controlled, then, well. He doesn't run away, per se, but he's certainly making haste.

But who knows, perhaps their paths will cross again sometime and they can get off on a better foot then!
