So she assumes this person must come from the same plane of existence, or at least one that's similar enough to have the same races, but she's not going to make any other prejudgements based on that alone. ]

I'm unfamiliar with what Galra are normally capable of, but you'll find that any abilities you had before, any magic or quirk or power... If a normal human doesn't have it, then it's likely gone.
