As the saying goes, "No man is an island", Dr. Flug. But I do suppose there is some merit in being resourceful. I have done so a few times in my life, but I would be nothing without the aid of others around me. I'm sure that you can agree that science is a collaborative effort. You cannot merely make something out of nothing.

With those ingredients I could easily make a sweet bread, or perhaps a very strange omelette, but without a recipe or other ingredients I would be very much cakeless. And wouldn't you like to have your cake and eat it, too?
