I guess not. This time is... probably better?

[He doesn't sound convinced by that. It's safer, sure, but nothing feels right without Ryan. He absently taps out a few notes of one of Ryan's songs subconsciously, the familiar sound helping take the edge off his anxiety.]

I'm Min-Gi, by the way. My Vulpix... I'm still trying to settle on a name for her.

[Said Vulpix seems to be having a fantastic time playing around with the other Pokémon. Min smiles faintly as he catches sight of her from the corner of his eye. He should really try and find her some friends.]

[It's hard to know what Min-Gi looks more alarmed by. Is it the sheer amount of races that they've done (surely over a long stretch of time...), or the suggestion that he might be a runner.

He laughs weakly in an attempt to recover himself, waving his hands dismissively.]

No. Definitely not. I'm sure you'd beat me easily.

[Radley smiles sadly.]

Better in some ways, maybe, but lonelier.

[He feels it too. He misses his friends from home so much.]

[He looks to the Pokemon with a smile. So cute.]

I'm sure you'll find the perfect name for her.

Working is all I do and know. My boss-

[She hates phrasing his term like that.]

-requires a lot of me. I'm more than happy to work for him to the best of my ability. Making sure his plans and our workplace remain operational are my top priorities.

... But I'm neither there and he isn't here... I... I don't know what to do with myself.

[Radley is startled to be bumped into, and concerned when the poor girl falls over.]

No, hey, I'm fine! What about you?!

[His Pokemon chorus in concern.]

[She tries her best to give a reassuring smile, but it's clear she's embarrassed.]

I-I'm fine, really. I just wasn't looking where I was going... [Her Pokemon, too, seem concerned.] I was just trying to take in the sights, is all.

[Radley smiles at her and holds out a hand.]

There's a lot to see. Hi, I'm Radley.

[His Pokemon warble greetings. He has four Eevees, an Espurr, and a Ralts with him.]

[She gingerly shakes his hand.] Hello, Radley. I'm Juniper. It's a pleasure to meet you.

[She herself has her Bulbasaur, Sentret, Metapod, Pineco, Scyther and Slowpoke. She absolutely takes notice of the four Eevees, though.] My goodness! I've never seen someone with so many Eevees. They're so cute!

[He smiles.]

They sure are! I have more at home; I'm breeding them. These are Evie, Evan, Isla, and Lily. And Elliott and Cosmo.

[She's practically glowing as she greets the little ones.] Hello there!

[Turning her attention back to Radley, though, she tilts her head a bit inquisitively.] Oh, are you also a breeder? I'm still kind of new to this world, so I don't know exactly how I'm going to go about it just yet... I-I've just been exploring and bringing new friends along with me.

[crystalmaster]

[They all chorus cheerily. Cosmo the Ralts just gives a shy wave.]

Yeah, I'm not crazy about the idea of battling my Pokemon, so I decided to go the Breeder route.

[He smiles.]

Exploring is pretty fun with these cuties.

Yes... I'm not fond of battling, but the Pokemon do seem to enjoy doing it from time to time to get stronger. Being a breeder seems like the best idea for me - I'm not much of a fighter, heehee.

[Her Bulbasaur chirps loudly, having hopped up onto her sun hat.]

It seems they'd like to explore the city some more... do you know the area well?

[crystalmaster]

[Radley nods.]

Some of mine like it, although sometimes it seems like it's mostly to protect me.

[He laughs when Bulbasaur leaps up. Evie and Isla take the cue to jump on his shoulders.]

I do! I've been living here for the past several months.

[Nods, brightening just a little at the solidarity. It's nice to be understood.]

Yeah. Exactly. It's nice to meet someone who gets it.

[There are probably lots of people here who get it, but Min's still working on getting to know people.

Looking out at their Pokémon with more attention now, Min is happy to see her having such a good time.]

She really likes your Pokémon. Would you mind if we let them play more often?

[Radley nods.]

A lot of people are missing loved ones from home. Sometimes they come, so I'm still hoping.

[He smiles.]

I'd love that. They would too. Do you live around here? We live in Goldenrod City.

[ asa seems to be running from something out of an alleyway— a pack on nickit with its thievul leader has decided this girl was the best target to steal from. they were right! asa doesn’t scream, but . . . she does happen to run into and/or trip right into you.

a galar zigzagoon bursts from one of the trash cans for the sudden opportunity and makes to steal the downed trainer’s bag, and some sort of belonging from your things.

you might want to check if a pokeball is missing from your belt. asa presses her lips tightly together, and has a hard time looking up to meet a possibly judging gaze. ]

I’m— Sorry . . .

[ she’s already flinching as if expecting a scold. wild pokémon off with their stuff, huh . . . ]

[Radley is surprised to suddenly be crashed into.]

Whoa!

[But he is further surprised by the naughty Pokemon grabbing something of his and running.]

What the ... ?!

[All of his Pokemon are out, and they immediately give chase on the thief. What was stolen was a pendant he was holding.

He sighs at the girl's apology.]

This isn't your fault. Come on, let's catch up to my team. They might have the crooks caught already.

[He smiles a bit.]

[ asa freezes, body, expression and all. it’s as if she’s surprised by that las part, and now utterly worried. ]

I . . . [ she trusts that yoru will bail him out. or, on the bright side, steal one of them. she has to. ] R—right.

[ she can’t lift suspicions, and with that, nods to bradely and picks herself up. ]

I’m so clumsy . . .

It's fine, really!

[He notes the expression, but doesn't know the reason for it. Radley's Pokemon are swiftly catching up and start calling, wanting Radley's belongings back. Evie the Eevee prepares to battle.]

Everybody falls now and then. Come on, it sounds like they found that naughty-naughty thief!

[ knees weak arms are heavy………… she can feel herself nervously cold sweat as they get closer. surely enough, the zigzagoon is backed into a corner— it dawns the pendant and waves it’s tongue out at his followers, but . . .

what phases right through the wall behind him is an aiming dragapult. ]

—I think we should run. It’s not worth it.

[ a dragon on that size could surely end an eevee, couldn’t it? please run, she pleads to herself. ]

[crystalmaster]

[Radley stares in horror.]

Yeah, no kidding! Come on, guys! Forget the pendant!

[Most of his Pokemon hurry over to him, but Evie wants to fight and get it back. Radley scoops her up.]

You're more important to me! Let's go.

[Evie nuzzles him.]

[ she runs right with him. out of goldenrod’s lonely alleyways, asa lofts a hand through huffed breathing. ]

I’m . . . Sorry about your pendant. Was it important?

[crystalmaster]

[Radley only relaxes when it looks like the thieves haven't followed them for more.]

I can get another. I just like to wear things like that.

[He is honestly frustrated by the loss, but he doesn't blame her and he really doesn't want his Pokemon in danger for the sake of a pendant.]

What about you, though? What did it take of yours?

Um . . . [ great. she has to lie on the spot. ] I think the foxes . . . Went off with my wallet, but . . . I didn’t have much in it.

[ “luckily”, she manages to think. ]

If that was all you had, it's pretty invaluable. We'll have to figure out how to get it back.

[He ponders possible strategies.]

Elliott here is Psychic. Maybe he could try to use telekinesis to float our stuff back to us?
