[A lovely woman with pitch black hair, pale skin, and striking yellow eyes dressed as a Lady Trainer-Class walks around the market with her Seviper, looking at all the different shops and what they have to offer. Little do any onlookers know is that's she's putting up an act as she engages in conversation with her snake companion. What the hell is she supposed to do in her free time? She's so used to working and her only hobbies are cleaning and sewing. Hmm. What's something Mare and Aura would like to do...?

Ah, yes. That's a good idea.. Albedo giggles at the sight of some of the pokemon themed food one bakery has to offer, commenting to the Seviper.]

These are utterly adorable...! We should... go on a picnic. Maybe by a riverside?

[That sounds convincing enough even if the actual activity is boring to her. She's keenly aware of who's listening in though and hopes that perhaps someone will take the bait to join her. It could be a good opportunity to flex her acting muscles and see how truly charming she can be.

And perhaps steal some pokémon.]

[Network]

[The feed starts with Albedo folding her hands in front of her and offering a bow - a deep seeded behavior for her. Best to keep up appearances though. Humans find that sort of thing disalarming, right? She suppresses a sneer at the thought.]

Ah, hello. I believe this is broadcasting, yes? ... My name is Albany. I'm somewhat new to this world. I was wondering... What sort of things do you do to keep yourself from... getting homesick?

[Weak. Pathetic. You shouldn't be engaging in such topics. You'll shame Lord Ainz! You must remain strong!

... But maybe one of these stupid humans will have a good answer. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask then.]

I hate admitting I find myself rather lonely at times, even with my pokemon companions. This place.. can be rather daunting. Especially with us all having been thrown into the deep end, so to speak. Besides battling and catching pokemon, what other things does this world offer?

[Because if Lord Ainz comes here, it will be ripe for the taking.

It's only there for a second but those with a keen eye might notice the corner of her lip twitch into a smirk. Then she's immediately back to looking melancholy.]

My apologies for the unpleasant topic. I just find myself having a hard time adjusting.

[Min doesn't like talking about these kinds of things either. He's getting better about being honest about his feelings with people he knows, but strangers... that's a work in progress.

Too bad everyone here is a stranger. He hesitates for a few minutes before he switches on his own feed to respond. He waves, smiling weakly.]

I think it's pretty normal to feel lonely if you don't known anyone. At least... it is for me. I'm still getting used to it here too.

National Park - Johto

[Min sits alone on a bench, seeming oblivious to the world around him. He's almost entirely focussed on the stylophone in his hands, tapping out the main beats of the faint background music. Occasionally he pauses to switch to pick up a different part of the tune, but he doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon, content to keep mimicking the song playing around them.

An Alolan Vulpix is stretched out at his feet, seeming to enjoy the warmth of the day despite her ice typing.]

Power Plant - Kanto

[Yeah, okay, it's kind of nerdy but Min was curious enough about how pokémon helped generate electricity here to bite and go on one of the tours. It's maybe not the most exciting way he's ever spent the day, but at least it's passed some time.

Now outside, he doesn't notice the little Plusle that's been watching him since he bought his food until it's already on his shoulder. It makes quick work of robbing a good portion of his sandwich filling before darting off to eat its prize a few yards away. It's almost done by the time Min-Gi fully processes what has happened.]

Hey!

[The Plusle doesn't seem put off by either his scolding or his glare, hopping forward and looking up at him with big eyes. His resolve doesn't last long from there. He sighs, breaking off a piece of bread and bending down to offer it out.]

Urgh... fine. I guess you are pretty cute. You can have some more.

[Thankfully (?), he doesn't pick up on her insincerity. The pause before coworkers is a little weird, but isn't something he's going to dwell on.]

It must be nice to have coworkers you can hang out with. Maybe you can ask them what they like to do?

Only a few weeks. It's weird, but at least this isn't the first time I've been through something like this. That sort of helps make adjusting easier.

[Of course last time he wasn't alone and there was a clear way to get home. Here is... here any goals he aims for aren't going to help him leave.]

[She hasn't made a good impression with her fellow Rocket team mates. There's only one being she pledges herself to.

[It's the same for her actually. Her Lord's entire kingdom got isekai'd from an MMORPG into another alternate world. That wasn't hard to adjust to though.]

Oh. Sorry. That's... definitely tough, but I'm sure we'll start getting to know people soon.

[Hmmm, well. That isn't the easiest question to answer. He's never had to explain it before. The truth was best kept between him and Ryan, but here is different. There isn't really a reason to keep it secret when there are so many others here who aren't from this world.]

There was a train? An interdimensional train. Once you're on it, you can't leave until you work out your problems. It doesn't seem like there's any trick like that to getting out of here though.

[She remains silent as she listens to his explanation. There's only one concept she's familiar of what that sounds like.]

[Albedo looks unamused.]

Cute. I daresay this place is better in that regard. I'd probably go mad if I had to do something like that.

[She'll deal with her inner demons if and when she feels like it. Or if her master tells her to. No unseen entity is going to control her like that.

... Sigh. Small talk has never been her forte. What do you talk about with the common folk? Even she can't hide the fact that she really doesn't know what to say.]

... How have you been adjusting otherwise?

[Radley is walking with some of his Pokemon when he hears the music. They pause to enjoy the free show for a bit.]

[And in a lot fewer words than he used. He'll have to remember that one.]

I don't know about that. I mean, yeah... a lot of it sucked, but at least you could find a way out.

[Plus he didn't have to go through that alone. That's kind of the big kicker here. Having Pokémon is nice, but he still doesn't know them that well yet.

He puts her difficulty with small talk just down to awkwardness. He can understand that. Getting to know people can be tough.]

[Looks up with a start, not having noticed he had an audience. His Vulpix jumps too, but that's mostly due to being unintentionally being nudged from his feet. She sits up, tilting her head at the stranger and his Pokémon.]

Thanks. I'm just messing around right now, but the music here is pretty soothing.

But what of those who didn't see anything they needed to redeem or work through about themselves? I suppose that is typical for something omnipotent though... Tch.

[Hmm. How has she been besides utterly missing Nazarick and her most beloved? Terrorizing the Rocket HQ. Hating being human. Wanting to kill everything that crosses her path. Did she already list missing Lord Ainz?]

Everyone has been fairly nice, yes.

Ah... I guess... the variety of businesses they have here? We didn't really have anything like those back in my world.

[Radley smiles a bit. His Pokemon call greetings.]

A lot of it is, yeah. And catchy. I get it stuck in my head at all hours.

It's harder not to get something stuck in your head in this world, but this tune's not too bad.

[Very relaxing, and it's nice to spend some time in the relative safety of the park compared to the routes. His Vulpix stands at the friendly greetings, returning it with her own and inching forward to sniff at them.]

[Radley nods.]

So are you a professional musician or is this a hobby?

[His Eevees Evie and Isla are especially friendly. His Ralts, Cosmo, clings to his leg.]

I don't know... I guess they'd be stuck there.

[Would it be forever? That's uncomfortable to think about. He scratches the back of his head, troubled.

It seemed like most passengers did get off eventually, but it wasn't like he'd met any besides Ryan who he'd boarded with in the first place. His only other point of reference had been Jeremy's diary, and even if it had taken five years for him to leave that didn't sound like it was normal.]

Yeah, I'm with you on that. I thought there was variety back where I come from, but some of the stuff you can get here... even if you take away what's meant for Pokémon there's things here you would never see back home.

Both? I mean... I wouldn't call us pros, but I'm in a band. We just play small venues, but we're working on it.

[Were working on it, at least. It's hard to get anywhere when your bandmate isn't even in the same world as you.

The Vulpix keeps a respectful distance from the Ralts, not wanting to make it feel threatened, instead putting her focus on the two Eevees for now.]

Mn. It is strange how much this world is geared towards those creatures. It's so... commercialized. Still, I can't criticize them too harshly. They've certainly been successful despite that the market itself is extremely over saturated.

I should look into it further... That could be a good way to make money.

[She shakes her head and sighs.]

Mn. I apologize... I... need to look into hobbies outside of training pokémon.

[ a rabbit happens to be doing some speedy (fire inducing) laps around the park, and comes to a skidding short stop when it catches sight of a vulpix lounging around. wild or not, it bounces on its toes and invites the fox to a race! there’s a prize! (there is no prize, because it’s very sure it will win). do you take this opportunity? ]

No, just me. Which I guess means my music career's on hold for now.

[The Vulpix's ears perk, glancing back at Min for his blessing. It only takes a small nod from Min for her to agree happily, running over to the grass and looking back to make sure at least Evie has followed.]

[She looks up at the arrival of the fire bunny, blinking to wake herself up a bit. She would like to race, even if she's pretty sure she'll lose, but isn't sure she's allowed.

She sits, turning to put her paw on Min's shin with a querying "Vuuuul?"

He looks up, puzzled until he spies the Scorbunny nearby. After that he smiles, ushering her off.]

Go play!

[ the rabbit can’t contain its energy and continues with it’s one-teo hops on each foot. it scores!!! as in, it literally scored a new race! it’s already won from its current one, so . . . on your mark! get set—

the scorbunny taps the icy vulpix right upon her curly fur bun and makes a dash for it.

not long after comes a jogging, red headed trainer with a grin on his face despite the copious amount of sweating. and he doesn’t even seem all that tired, even physically prepared for it— but once he gets there, the scorbunny is already gone. ]

That’s only best two out of three—! [ phew! ] Hey— did he just get someone else?

"I know how it is to have left friends behind," Radley said. "I'm sorry. But ... if you're not opposed to playing solo while you're here, it might be worth a shot. Some people are around quite a while."

[Most of his Pokemon hurry after Min, except for Cosmo. Evie leads them in a play romp through the grass.]

Maybe, but I'm not sure I'd even want to without Ryan. For fun, sure, but it was always our dream to be in a band together. It just wouldn't be right to do that without him.

[Is that the right answer? He isn't sure if it counts as holding himself back, or being loyal to his friend. Maybe it's both. Either way, he isn't ready to rush into making music alone yet.

The Vulpix cries out happily, running through the grass until she gets to a patch long enough to hide in. There she crouches, poised to jump out once the other Pokémon get close enough.]
