you good fam
Looks like you're playing fetch.
[Usi, being the absolute troll he is, walks right up to Shigaraki and holds out his hand, as if asking for the bat. Marik hisses something at him but the ghost ignores him, instead just grinning expectantly at the pale boy.]
Tchhh... I'm sorry about him. He's a fool. You don't need to give him your bat.
If you're looking to level your team though, I can battle you if you want.
[A pause as he looks down at the ice ball.]
... Unless you'd rather continue as you are.

It wouldn't do any good anyway, it's just a wooden bat and probably counts as a normal attack. Ghosts aren't bothered by those.
[There's some implication there that had it been a steel bat he'd have gone for it himself, but surely nobody's that stupid around here--
The second vulpix sits down between them, studying first the gengar, then the yamask. Shigaraki knows a few things about how all this works, and knows any gengar is going to vastly outlevel his two simply based on when they evolve.]
Team building isn't team leveling, it's supposed to be working on friendship or some crap like that. Getting murdered by a gengar outside their range isn't going to teach them much. Cept maybe how to become a ghost type.

I don't think... he wanted to use it for battling. Huh. Color me surprised. I think he wants to hit the ball for you.
[Yes, yes, yes! The Gengar makes grabby hands at the bat. Shigaraki is perfectly fine to ignore him or tell him no. The blonde doesn't care either way and Usi will either give up and sulk or move on to something else.]
My team knows how to handle working with lower level pokémon. If you're looking for building though, I've...
[... never actively thought about it and usually just vibe.]
Hn... Just keep them out of their pokéballs and include them with your daily routines. Playing fetch is fairly good for that. If that's not your cup of tea though... Do something that aligns more with your interests.

Do things I want, huh.
[He liked that idea. And he wasn't going to need a baseball bat for it, either. The bat is offered to the gengar without much of a blink after that, decision made.]
I don't keep 'em in the little ball things already, seems to be too close to prison. If we're gonna do things I like doing, I'm gonna need some more of these little pokemon. [Which is how collecting them all gets started isn't it--] A ghost of my own maybe. Or some of those psychics.
[Maybe he should just start mugging people for their pokemon.]
You seem like you know stuff. Where can I go and hunt those down?

Usi is absolutely delighted and practice swings the bat a few times before he picks up the ice-covered ball, tosses it up, swings, and... misses.]
Supposedly they don't mind but yes, I keep most of mine out too or they're back at my apartment.
[It's too cold for his Goomy and his Persian so they're safely snuggled up at home.
Finally there's a loud CRACK, Usi finally scoring a hit and the ball goes flying about 20 feet from them. Marik gives the Gengar a surprised look for a second.]
... Hmm. Depends on what kind of ghost or psychic type you're looking for. I'm far more familiar with ghosts types myself. What kind of temperament do you want?
