“Unfortunately yes, I have no one else but Carmen with me when I left New Bark Town,” she replies to him, “It must be terrifying that have all of those creatures wanting to chase after her like she was food to them and me having to keep her safe.”

“Budew! Dew,” Carmen squeaks as she sees Tristan’s Chimchar coming down from the tree, “Bud, Dew?”

“Bud-Dew, Budew, Dew, Budew!” Carmen happily greets Evie.

“Wow! I didn’t know that there are more ways to catch more Pokémon aside from battling them until they get tired out. Thanks for the tip, I honestly appreciate it a lot,” Isabela smiles in relief, “Anyway, I was in the middle of setting a picnic lunch when I first heard Bellibolt making noises by the pond. I was wondering if you and Evie would like to join me and Carmen today.”

[crystalmaster]

Sure! I'll send you the list of their usernames.

... Uh ... well, I mean just that. I'm from several decades after your time.

"Sure," Radley smiles. "I'm definitely glad there's more ways."

Evie dances at the invitation. "Eeveeee!"

Radley laughs. "We'd be happy to accept. Thanks!"

[With his attention currently focused on his chimchar, Joey had a higher probability of success. Tristan definitely wasn't expecting any of the other trainers to be the ones to jump him.

When the figure came leaping out of the foliage, the pokémon was the first to react as it flailed it's limbs and shrieked loudly to warn it's trainer.]

Huh? What's got your tail in a tw-hihist?!

[The question crescendoing into something incomprehensible when Tristan felt the sudden increase in weight threatening to topple him over. Reacting first, he reached up to grapple with whoever it was regardless of what he heard. If successful, he was going to shrug this guy off and catch him in a tight headlock. Either way, he'd realize it was Joey soon after. Although pleased to have met up with one of his friends so quickly, that didn't stop him from shouting at Joey for nearly giving him a heart attack.]

Are you out of your mind?! I could have actually hurt you, you knucklehead!

[The chimchar just canted it's head to one side in bewilderment.]

Hey, thanks man! You're alright.

What, did they invent time travel in the future? Why would you want to come back here?

[Not sure what to think, he poses a few questions]

"Then it looks like we're in the same boat." Although Tristan hadn't made it anywhere yet he was set to start traveling on his own too. "I guess to them, she does kind of look like food." After the briefest pause and some quiet consideration he added the following, "Look, I'm definitely no expert on ... any of this, but wouldn't it be safer for her if you kept her out of sight?" Deciding to voice what he'd been thinking earlier.

"Chim char, char." The pokémon returned in kind. Chimchar wouldn't be opposed to a little snack himself but Budew wasn't on the menu. Something fruiter perhaps would be more appealing.

"Though I guess that would make it hard to train her, right?"

[Radley sends the list and then pauses, blinking at this message.]

... Do you think we're still in your time? I'm afraid we're in a completely different world. They're pulling in people from all times and places.

[duelingexpert]

[After saving the information to his pokegear, he types out a response]

You don't have to ask it like that, but yeah. This place might not resemble anywhere I've been been before but that doesn't mean it has to be a completely alternate world.

[Radley still wonders if the following is true, although he really hopes it's not.]

Do you think we're trapped in a video game then?

This isn't going to make me look any better, but I'm just going to come out and say it.

I haven't a clue.

[He didn't even attempt to make any excuses for it either. It was as simple as that. All of this was too new for him and he hadn't even tried to think up explanations for it]

Yugi and Téa aren't here, but Joey, Kaiba, and Marik are. I got here a few months ago, after Marik and Kaiba, but before Joey did.

Dark Cave

Ryou was also sheltering from the rain in the cave, though he decided to look deeper in the cave to see what's in here. Might as well, if he's going to be stuck here.

The shriek draws him back to the mouth of the cave, flashlight in hand and Dracozolt at his side as he looks for whoever called out.]

Hello? Who's there? [Seeing the hole, he creeps up to the edge and peeks in.]

[Chenzira, the Yamask, has everything to do with it. He's his shoulder angel. His better half. He keeps Marik grounded most of the time and is one of the few beings he feels guilt or regret for.

Marik slings his backpack off, unzips it, and pulls out a neatly folded royal purple raincoat. He presents it to Serenity.]

You've ridden with... the brown one. What's his name? Terry? Trevor? Eh, whatever. Cyclizar is like a motorcycle. It will take us a little while to get to town from here but at least you'll be dry.

[Relieved that his message was well received he offered up this blatantly obvious observation]

The only thing I do know is if this place is dragging in people from all over... It can't be anything good.

[Ending up in a headlock wasn't what Joey had expected when literally jumping his friend, but he couldn't say it was surprising either given how the two interact with each other on a regular basis. Catching his feet under him at least Joey does his best to stabilize himself, all the while wearing the most shit-eating of grins.]

Easy der' Cyber Commander! It's just me!

[Assuming Tristan released him before chewing him out, Joey would turn and face him... all the while still wearing his shit-eating grin.]

What are ya all jumpy for Tristan? Mosta da things you'd encounter out here ya can knock out in one good hit. Believe me. I did it myself!

[He gives a comedic flex.]

But how da heck did'ja end up here?! And how long ya been here for?!

[With Serenity holding on to Red-Eyes the dragon lifts them both out of the pit with a single beat of it's massive wings, landing with a thud back on the path. Now safely out of danger Joey rushes over to his Sister with a look of both great relief and concern on his face.]

Serenity! Are you ok?!

[He crouches by the Charizard, his arms spread wide to hug her, but makes sure to be well away from the edge of the pitfall. They just got out of the frying pan, no need to tempt fate by falling into the fire.]

Oh wow, just giving them out? I'll have to look into it. They're so sweet...

Yeah! Their eyes are really large too, huh? They're psychic-types, right?

( serenity accepts the raincoat and looks it over a bit before she hesitantly pulls it on. there's something about accepting help from him of all people. )

Huh? The brown one? ( she blinks and then realizes... ) Do you mean Tristan?

[oncewasblind]

( once landed, she smiles weakly to the stunning charizard and turns to meet her brother. she rushes toward him and hugs her arms around him when he opens them to her. serenity grasps the back of his shirt in her hands! )

J- Joey... I- I'm okay... That was so scary...

[oncewasblind]

( she hits the ground of the pitfall with a hard grunt, lucky to not have broken anything or even sprained her ankle-- or both. she quickly picks herself up, though, and tries to find some foot holes or something she can grab to climb back up to no avail.

eevee is trilling and crying out to her trainer! she glances toward bakura as he turns up and trills at him instead! )

Hello? ( her voice echoes. ) Is someone there? C- Can you help me?!

ugh, leave it to you to not know who i am.

[ it's a joke but it might not be conveyed so well in text form. ]

mai valentine, at you're so-called service. now, can we get back to the matter at hand?

[He'll chalk it up to the Gods of this world messing with him yet again. He has strange bad luck like that in this place.]

[He never bothered to memorize it due to, outside of him being part of Yugi's gang, he was mostly unimportant in the grand scheme of things.

Marik unzips his own coat slightly so the Yamask can climb in, huddle himself all nice and cozy, and pop his head out from under his trainer's chin. Then the blonde tosses a pokéball out, releasing the aforementioned motorcycle pokémon, Cyclizar still within the comfort of the cave entrance. The lizard shifts into his bike position as Marik climbs on, puts on his pair of Go Goggles, and glances back at Serenity.]

... You'll want to hold on. Chafu can get up to regular vehicle speeds if I want him to.

We sure don't get why it's being done. Some of the people actually have it better here than back home. Others really want to go back home. Me, I want to, but I hate the thought of giving up my Pokemon. I wish I could take them with me. But that's apparently just not done. The people who are sent back are forced to leave them behind.
