He still has a lot of unresolved feelings toward his grandmother and his mother, now that the dust has settled. He hasn't really had a chance to speak to them since his near-death experience. But he does think he knows enough about humans in general to get a sense for why they kept as much information from him as they did, and maybe there were good reasons for him to keep things from his family as well.
