Effect: Friday, July 8: Flower Gift - All day, despite the season, flowers drift down from the sky. They’re harmless, beautiful, and smell lovely, but if trainers aren’t careful, they might end up trudging through rosedrifts up to their knees before long.
Swarm: Tuesday, July 12: Spinda
Effect: Friday, July 15 to Sunday, July 17: Worry Seed - Affected characters won’t be able to get any sleep. Does that make your character cranky? Does it damage their brain-to-mouth filter? The effects can last as little or as long as you’d like over this weekend.
Effect/Swarm Double Duty: Friday, July 22: Surf - Large waves appear in all bodies of water, including things like bathtubs and your Sawsbucks drinks (it’s just bean water, you know). Be careful on the ocean, but also, hang ten, dudes! The waves won’t destroy anything, but trainers are going to get wet on this ride. Also, oh god, small jellyfish Pokemon (Tentacool, Frillish, Inkay) happen to be swarming randomly in these bodies of water. GANBATTE, VICTORY ROAD.
Effect: Friday, July 29: Haze - The forecast is misty inside and out on this oddly cool July day. Affected trainers will find it difficult to remember things, whether those happened long ago or just five minutes past. The memories aren’t gone, of course, it’s just…foggy.
Swarm: Sunday, July 31: Illumise and Volbeat

[Meanwhile, should Ford looking around, he might happen to see a familiar face wandering around! With so many flowers all around, Mabel and her Pokemon wasted no time in trying to grab as possible as they could!

And to think, they might be able to make a bunch of flower crowns after all of this was over!]

[You know who obviously needs a flower crown? Muscle grandpa over here. He almost doesn't notice Mabel considering the flowers come up almost over her head, but he spots those familiar Pines sticky-uppy hair bits (seriously, what are those things?) and that's about all the confirmation he needs.]

Mabel? Mabel!

[meowbel]

[Don't worry, Ford! Once the both of them gets out of here, he'll get one right away! And that's exactly what she did the moment she heard a certain voice!]

Grunkle Ford? Grunkle Ford!!

[She shouted at the top of her lungs before swimming (yes, she was swimming!) through the pile of flowers toward them! With those sticky hair bits coming ever so closer to him, she raised a flower crown up to him!]

I didn't know you were here! This is great, now we can make a bunch of flower crowns together!

[Oh boy. He can practically hear the sparkling. He knows from experience that he absolutely is not going to get out of making flower crowns now that the possibility's been brought up and, frankly, he's just so pleased to see Mabel that he doesn't care. He kneels down to mitigate the differences in their heights somewhat. If that puts his head within be-flowering range, well, so be it.]

I wouldn't be averse to it, but you'll have to show me how. None of my PhDs are in flower-crown construction.

[At this point, all Mabel could do was stare up at her Grunkle with starry eyes! She was just so happy to see him here! Who cares if she was drowning in an ocean of flowers, he was here! And especially make a bunch of stuff with her too!]

Then allow me to show you! It's pretty easy, all you have to do is make sure the stems are really long!

[With that, she grabbed a bunch near by before lining all the stems up. Using one of the flowers, she made sure to loop it around the others and continued to do so!]

And boom, instant flower crown!!

[Look, this is something everyone in the Pines family can agree on: they are all, in one way or another, artsy as hell. While Ford tends toward sketching and diagramming, he can appreciate Mabel's more hands-on crafty approach. It's not too far removed from the same skills required to build an elegantly-designed machine; it's all the same principles, merely applied differently. Building a structurally-sound perpetual motion machine isn't too different from building a structurally-sound flower crown.]

That certainly seems doable. Ellie, would you gather us some long-stemmed flowers?

[The Elgyem that has up to this point been floating shyly behind his shoulder peeks over, nods, and floats off to search.]

[Ford, you are thinking way too hard for something as simple as a flower crown. But with how focused he was on her craftsmanship, she couldn't help but giggle. It was kind of nice that he paid attention to her for a bit. He always seemed to be more focused on her twin...]

Be careful though! There are a lot of flowers so you gotta make sure you pay real close attention to which ones you get!
