Effect: Friday, July 8: Flower Gift - All day, despite the season, flowers drift down from the sky. They’re harmless, beautiful, and smell lovely, but if trainers aren’t careful, they might end up trudging through rosedrifts up to their knees before long.
Swarm: Tuesday, July 12: Spinda
Effect: Friday, July 15 to Sunday, July 17: Worry Seed - Affected characters won’t be able to get any sleep. Does that make your character cranky? Does it damage their brain-to-mouth filter? The effects can last as little or as long as you’d like over this weekend.
Effect/Swarm Double Duty: Friday, July 22: Surf - Large waves appear in all bodies of water, including things like bathtubs and your Sawsbucks drinks (it’s just bean water, you know). Be careful on the ocean, but also, hang ten, dudes! The waves won’t destroy anything, but trainers are going to get wet on this ride. Also, oh god, small jellyfish Pokemon (Tentacool, Frillish, Inkay) happen to be swarming randomly in these bodies of water. GANBATTE, VICTORY ROAD.
Effect: Friday, July 29: Haze - The forecast is misty inside and out on this oddly cool July day. Affected trainers will find it difficult to remember things, whether those happened long ago or just five minutes past. The memories aren’t gone, of course, it’s just…foggy.
Swarm: Sunday, July 31: Illumise and Volbeat

[The voice gives him momentary pause, but it's only that. It is far from the first time something's reminded him of his children; he knows by now how to move through it. If he were to crumble at every stray memory, well...]

Of course! It is no trouble. [He turns to look down at the boy, moving carefully so as not to dislodge his own Pokemon. And if the human child's appearance takes him strangely, well, it's not the first time for that either.] She is only making friends with Seedy here, see?

He's very noticeably pale, except for the brownish, reddish eyes, and the clothes he's wearing are worn a little loosely, as if he's still a bit too small for them, and he's just not used to the outfit. He looks up and up and up at Asgore...and it takes him a moment to respond, because Asriel would know that voice anywhere.

But...it didn't make sense. That voice, in a human's body? It couldn't mean...]

Uh...y-yeah, but...she's real little, I-I didn't want to lose her, or...

[Oh it is REALLY hard for him not to stammer.]

[This...remains disconcerting. He could swear the boy sounds just like - but, no. Of course not.

Asgore stays seated, the better not to completely tower over the child, and smiles down at him. There may be a touch of pain in the crinkles around his eyes, but that's alright. He needn't trouble anyone with that.]

Of course not. It is good of you to keep such a close eye on her. [He turns to look at the little creature again. Yellow flowers, hm.] What type of Pokemon is she?

[He's trying to stay calm. He really is, because part of him wants to take Gracie and run and hope Asgore forget he ever saw him. Even with this new life in this new place, it was better that way.

But he hasn't been asked anything that might indicate that Asgore is suspicious. So...maybe if he just...keeps the conversation light, then it won't come up. Yeah!

As if to help, Gracie twirls her flower, smiling and showing off. See, she's very little, but she's quite strong!]

S-She's a Fairy type. The, um...Pokedex-thing said she's a Flabebe, but, I call her Gracie. 'Cause she's graceful.

Asgore seems a little ill-at-ease himself, but certainly nowhere near as much as the child. The boy does remind him of Asriel - that makes it worse, the thought that he's frightening him. He often worries about that, with human children, even now as a human himself.]

Ah, yes. That does make sense. Seedy is a grass-type - a Sunkern.

[Why would he name her Flowey she is NOTHING like a Flowey, she's a Gracie!

He just...nods. keeping his breath even and calm in an attempt to relax. There's no need to be scared. His Dad is the least scary person in the world. So long as things don't stray into sad places, both of them will be fine.

Asriel turns to look at the lights at Asgore's question.] Y-Yeah...those are...Bug Pokemon, right? I-I guess they don't get scared of the dark. They're their own nightlights.

[SHE'S GOT A FLOWER IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE]

They are, aren't they? [Asgore chuckles deeply. This seems to be getting...better? Yes, probably that. He supposes there's no real reason he ought to continue the conversation - being a total stranger - but the boy doesn't seem to have any adults with him, and Pokemon aside it is quite dark.] They are called Volbeat and Illumise...though, I do not remember which one is which.

It is getting better - at least, it's getting a little easier. Still, Asriel can't let his guard down completely, less he say or do something stupid. He doesn't want to make anyone sad if he can help it.]

I don't know either. But they're still really pretty! Flying around and making light all the time...they've gotta be happy.
