Effect: Friday, July 8: Flower Gift - All day, despite the season, flowers drift down from the sky. They’re harmless, beautiful, and smell lovely, but if trainers aren’t careful, they might end up trudging through rosedrifts up to their knees before long.
Swarm: Tuesday, July 12: Spinda
Effect: Friday, July 15 to Sunday, July 17: Worry Seed - Affected characters won’t be able to get any sleep. Does that make your character cranky? Does it damage their brain-to-mouth filter? The effects can last as little or as long as you’d like over this weekend.
Effect/Swarm Double Duty: Friday, July 22: Surf - Large waves appear in all bodies of water, including things like bathtubs and your Sawsbucks drinks (it’s just bean water, you know). Be careful on the ocean, but also, hang ten, dudes! The waves won’t destroy anything, but trainers are going to get wet on this ride. Also, oh god, small jellyfish Pokemon (Tentacool, Frillish, Inkay) happen to be swarming randomly in these bodies of water. GANBATTE, VICTORY ROAD.
Effect: Friday, July 29: Haze - The forecast is misty inside and out on this oddly cool July day. Affected trainers will find it difficult to remember things, whether those happened long ago or just five minutes past. The memories aren’t gone, of course, it’s just…foggy.
Swarm: Sunday, July 31: Illumise and Volbeat

Nobody did. They just sort of... went away on their own.

[She should be happy about that. It got the image of her dead sister away from her again. But at the same time... it just doesn't feel like something to be happy about. Ugh, this damn mess...]

I don't even know if the ghosts here are actual ghosts. People say they are, but they act just like the rest of the creatures on this planet.

Interesting. They don't normally do that. Just "go away."

That was my theory, too, though. All of them are probably just pokémon, right?

Really. How do you normally get rid of them, then? Kill them?

[She's not sure how you can kill something twice, but. Hey. She shouldn't really be surprised at anything anymore.]

They are, but the locals here also seem to treat them as spirits of the dead. Which doesn't seem possible, if they act exactly like every other monster on this planet.

Eeeeeeeeh.

[she makes a noise kind of like a dying cat. it's a great way to get out of answering the question.]

Maybe that makes it easier for them to cope with death. Which is...a pretty healthy relationship to ghosts, all things considered. Especially if they aren't the kind that'll eat you and vomit plasma all over you.

..... You don't even know how whatever it is you do works, do you.

[Athena makes a noise of disgust. God, she has to deal with vomiting monsters too? She doesn't have nightmares about it, but Athena's pretty sure she's still finding gross little chunks in the smaller cracks in her armor from when she fought the Sentinel... that was pretty damn gross.]

That might make sense, except they can also be caught in the same way the monsters of this land are caught. And those balls don't work on humans, so my guess is that it wouldn't work on those ghosts either if they were actual ghosts.

Okay, whoa, I do know how it works. I built all our machines back home. But putting it into words is where it gets dicey. Ghosts are already dead you can't kill the twice. [duh, athena] We usually catch them or banish them back to the spirit world or both. But that's clearly not going to be a thing with pokémon.

[she just wants to catch them all and love them ok this is not a hard concept.]

If they were actual ghosts, yeah. I can probably replicate my gear here, but I'm still looking for parts.

You... banish them. Back to where ghosts come from. [This sounds like something out of a Bunkers and Badasses story.] Still sounds like killing them to me.

[She doesn't let the confusion last for long, though. At the mention of her need for parts, Athena seems to perk up just a little.]

If you need parts, I have someone who might be able to help you.

Back home, she ran a junking business alongside a mechanic job. She's been trying to get that started again here, so she'd probably be the best person to talk to.
