ALSO, AS PROMPTS FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION: Last month's mini-events!
Effect: Friday, July 8: Flower Gift - All day, despite the season, flowers drift down from the sky. They’re harmless, beautiful, and smell lovely, but if trainers aren’t careful, they might end up trudging through rosedrifts up to their knees before long.
Swarm: Tuesday, July 12: Spinda
Effect: Friday, July 15 to Sunday, July 17: Worry Seed - Affected characters won’t be able to get any sleep. Does that make your character cranky? Does it damage their brain-to-mouth filter? The effects can last as little or as long as you’d like over this weekend.
Effect/Swarm Double Duty: Friday, July 22: Surf - Large waves appear in all bodies of water, including things like bathtubs and your Sawsbucks drinks (it’s just bean water, you know). Be careful on the ocean, but also, hang ten, dudes! The waves won’t destroy anything, but trainers are going to get wet on this ride. Also, oh god, small jellyfish Pokemon (Tentacool, Frillish, Inkay) happen to be swarming randomly in these bodies of water. GANBATTE, VICTORY ROAD.
Effect: Friday, July 29: Haze - The forecast is misty inside and out on this oddly cool July day. Affected trainers will find it difficult to remember things, whether those happened long ago or just five minutes past. The memories aren’t gone, of course, it’s just…foggy.
Swarm: Sunday, July 31: Illumise and Volbeat

[Also, those balloons tend to be pretty creepy in the first place. Deadly. They can be deadly, too. Who knows how many people have died from balloon related okay stop thinking about this.]
Doesn't matter what it turns into, I want fifty.

[ They were simpler times, guys. The nineties. ]
Not gonna lie, I think it's a spider. Which is creepy. So I dunno if that's a plus or a minus for you.
[ Joltik is offended Gwen would ever imply he's gross, gosh. It's just gonna... climb up her arm now, which feels really weird because he's a fuzzy bug. ]
Aagh--! Cut that out! [ No, this is your punishment, Gwen. Pay no mind to the way her hair is starting to get static-y. Good ol' electric types. ]

[Awwwwwwww!]
I love spiders. [It's a electric spider.... totally a huge win-win now.]
You have clearly never looked at the genus Maratus before. Peacock spiders. They are the most adorable things in the world when it comes to arachnids. Yes, you have to go to Australia for them, but just look them up on the internet sometime otherwise.

[ I don't know okay, she's busy being not-zapped by her Joltik. ]
Oh, good.
[ That sounds a lot like 'oh no' though. I mean, not that Gwen can talk, she had the spider-theme pretty down at home. ]
Man, Australia's nuts. I hear everything wants to eat you there. Especially the bugs. [ She's probably been to a weird alternate dimension just like Australia, actually. ]
But you, uh, sound like you know a lot about them. [ Maybe you should too, Spider-Woman... ] I usually just try to avoid having them bite me, at least this guy hasn't tried that yet.
[ You know, besides the static thing. Electro is a good little Joltik. ]

[This Dratini is fine being a Dratini right now. Everything is fine. Who are we kidding nothing is fine.]
If I love something I learn about it. And yes, Australia is 'death by nigthmare' central. [Dude, there's something worse.] Also, I would rather get bitten by a spider than get stung by a lovely little wasp by the name of Tarantula Hawk. They are almost the same size as their targets, have a 1/4 stinger, and the bullet ant beats them on the pain scale. Bullet ant is still number one.
[Let that sink in.] At least spiders help control those other bugs.

[ Gwen is totally going to beat the game, duh!! That's what you do. ]
Okay, full disclosure, you're freaking me out a little with all the bug facts. Ignorance was bliss, and if I have nightmares tonight, I'm blaming you, dude.
[ She's joking! Mostly....... I mean, haha spider bites? Not like that's how she got her powers or anything. ]
I think I'll stick to the poke-spiders and poke-bugs and stay the hell away from Australia.

[Nari is someone who does not want a flashy life. Just a little place to call her own and the occasional hunting trip.... can you hunt Pokémon?]
Bugs are easy. I know waaaaay more about sharks than I do about them little critters. Sharks are the most fascinating things in the world, especially Greenland sharks. Anything from that place has gotta be extreme.
[That's a really good idea.]
I don't know. I think I'll visit the zoo there at least. Because of the Croc Hunter and all. Yes, he's dead, but still, that place has got to be awesome.

[ Power, responsibility, etc etc. ]
Sharks are why I stay out of the water. Well, that and I'm from New York, so that stuff's got serious sewage going on.
[ She's only railing on it because she loves it, promise. ]
I guess... They have that cool opera house too, that seems like it'd be cool to see. You know, whenever you're not dodging giant spiders or whatever.
[ Most of her villains are animal-themed, it's a problem. At least none are opera-themed. ]
