Effect: Friday, July 8: Flower Gift - All day, despite the season, flowers drift down from the sky. They’re harmless, beautiful, and smell lovely, but if trainers aren’t careful, they might end up trudging through rosedrifts up to their knees before long.
Swarm: Tuesday, July 12: Spinda
Effect: Friday, July 15 to Sunday, July 17: Worry Seed - Affected characters won’t be able to get any sleep. Does that make your character cranky? Does it damage their brain-to-mouth filter? The effects can last as little or as long as you’d like over this weekend.
Effect/Swarm Double Duty: Friday, July 22: Surf - Large waves appear in all bodies of water, including things like bathtubs and your Sawsbucks drinks (it’s just bean water, you know). Be careful on the ocean, but also, hang ten, dudes! The waves won’t destroy anything, but trainers are going to get wet on this ride. Also, oh god, small jellyfish Pokemon (Tentacool, Frillish, Inkay) happen to be swarming randomly in these bodies of water. GANBATTE, VICTORY ROAD.
Effect: Friday, July 29: Haze - The forecast is misty inside and out on this oddly cool July day. Affected trainers will find it difficult to remember things, whether those happened long ago or just five minutes past. The memories aren’t gone, of course, it’s just…foggy.
Swarm: Sunday, July 31: Illumise and Volbeat

[Well, good, this can just be a good old fashioned stand-off, with neither willing to make the first move. Which is probably a good thing; these two get into enough fights on their own, there's no telling how rough their Pokémon might get with one another.

... Oh. That's a look that Eren knows, one he actually has the tact not to ask about. The look that Jean got when he was thinking about a certain lost comrade. It makes Eren think about him, too; he'd love this. He'd probably be surrounded by the things, like some sort of Pokémon whisperer. Actually, Armin would probably the same. He can imagine his friend running around this new world with a journal and a pencil.

Wait, we? Eren perks up a bit]

[The Pokemon are really just imitating their partners here, and, just like their human counterparts, aren't entirely willing to switch to attack mode without just cause. Blitz shoots the Skarmory another dirty look and menacing crackle before floating to Jean's side, where Jean causally lays a hand on his head. The Voltorb can tell Jean is upset about something, and that is more important than attacking the noisy bird.]

[Jean turns and heads off, expecting Eren to follow, and also because he's afraid he might be expressing more than he wants to at the moment. If he knew that his expression had already given away who he was thinking about, he'd be furious.]

[nah. It's all just bluster. All bark, no bite. Blitz sparks and zaps and Skarmory slides her feathers against one another, but nothing comes of it. Blitz bobs off, and so Skarmory sticks her neck under Eren's legs, and forces him up onto her back]

Ok, ok! I'm going to have to make a saddle for you or something...

Armin! Armin's here?! [his eyes MAY ACTUALLY be sparkling. Jean's sadness about Marco is forgotten for the moment in favor of elation about his own friend] I can't believe it! He's probably the best kind of person to have around for something like this, though.

[Jean's eyes tighten with Eren's excitement. He shouldn't be so resentful, he knows, but damn, it's hard being around someone who is so overjoyed about seeing his friend. His living, breathing, actually here friend. Jean supposes he's going to be the odd man out now. Oh well. He has Blitz; they can share a tent.]
