Henry squinted in the sudden return of the light. He hadn't realized just how used to the gloom he'd become in that impossibly long impossibly short stretch of time he'd inhabited in the Other World.
He stared up at this enormous, almost startlingly happy woman and blinked slowly and tiredly. There was no way he could talk to her about all of That.
"I've been away...but now I'm back. It's...hard on my head." It was true. The ghost of a headache was hiding somewhere near the base of his neck still. "It's going to be okay."
