Annie had some time before the ferry left for Pallet Town, trying to keep herself from pacing only to find herself pacing anyway. It wasn't so large a town that it took her long to notice Rose, but as with most things, she minded her own business in the interim. It was when the arm pinching continued with the giggling and Lute nudged her thigh twice that Annie grimaced, giving her Absol a look, only to be met by a purposefully guileless expression in turn.
"Really."
Lute continued staring, and Annie sighed, eyes narrowing. "Fine."
When she approached Rose, she kept a careful sort of distance, outside of immediate arm's reach. No telling what kind of responses strangers might have, and there was a good chance this was another new arrival on this world, not a native. "Are you injured?"
