Yes. Aberrants are any titan that doesn't fall within the common categories. That could be due to size, but usually, it is behaviour-based.

You see, most of the time Titans behave very consistently. If there are humans nearby, they will try and eat them. The bigger the group of humans, the more they will be attracted to them. In theory, if presented with two groups of humans, Titans always should go for the bigger group and ignore the smaller one. But there are also some Titans who are unlike that. They might target specific individuals. Or they might seem to be completely uninterested in humans at all unless they act in a certain way. I once saw one that slowly learned to climb trees.

It was... eye-opening.

[ that already has jack wondering. is that normal differences - just some being smarter or more adaptable? but targeting specific people - could it mean there's something out there using the titans?

it wouldn't help armin to speculate - and the way the kid sounds, he might have already. ]


Doesn't sound like the kind of things you want learning how to climb, that's for damn sure.
