Finally, shrugging, Dr. Venkman wanders closer and leans his weight on the table.
"So, we talking human psychology or Pokemon psychology, here? 'Cause I've got myself covered with the first one, but I could always use a second opinion on the second."

"Well I'm an expert on "Extreme Personalities." she declared in air quotes before rising up to study the fletchinder "But I'm willing to give anything a shot at least once. Back home I have quite the collection of adorable animals I rescued from bein' recycled. And you've got such a pretty birdie how could I say no to helping her out?"

It's surprising how many Ghostbusting escapades end, not in a ghost trap, but in Venkman talking the ghost into a peaceful resolution or otherwise fixing the root of the spirits' inability to shake off the mortal coil. Perhaps less surprising is how many ghosts have issues they need to get off their chests. Venkman had briefly considered opening up an actual practice just for counseling ghosts, but their money isn't tangible enough.
The Fletchinder chirps and shakes its head. "Nah," Venkman says, looking from the bird to Harley. "It's not her. The problem kid doesn't like coming out of the containment unit. I, uh, picked him up during a traumatic time in the little guy's life. He's got a real bad phobia with fire, and fixing phobias were never really my expertise. And he's a real nervous wreck in general.
I've tried a few things- mostly socializing him around my non-fire types, which has helped him come out of his shell a little bit, but not enough. And some more abstract stuff- hypnosis, for example. No luck yet."

"Now that sounds pretty rough. Especially in a world where so many of the animals can just fart fire whenever they want! What kinda pokemon is he? Maybe that will give me some direction."
She already had a interested and excited look in her eyes. The wheels were turning but only slowly for now.
"I'd actually be interested to see if Hypnosis works on ANY pokemon the way it works on humans seein' as there's a pokemon literally called "Hypno."
