Why, I don't think that would be cheating at all!

[Harald has stopped to rest for the moment in some unremarkable forest while on his travels. He's got his PokéGear propped up on a particularly large stump by the time it's begun recording, so he can be seen sitting with his bag beside him, on top of which lazily lounges a Vulpix. A Swablu accompanies him on his head.]

Naming your companions after aspects of home makes them more special in my opinion. I've personally elected to name my own after figures in Norse Mythology. This one is Sulfr, after the great wolf Fenrir.

[And a secondary pun on 'sulfur,' that chemical that's very flammable. The Vulpix trills at the mention of its name.]

You have true hyenas at home? What are their names?

Ooo now those ARE great names! I may not know a ton about mythology but even I know Fenrir!

[Harley presses her face right against the screen obscuring her from the camera for a moment as she tries to take in all of the two pokemon.]

Aw they are SO CUTE!!! Hello babies!

[Pulling back from the camera she beams happily.]

Bud and Lou! They were the BEST boys. Makin' Mama proud the way they'd protect me from big bad bats and other assorted buzz kills.

But they've retired to a zoo now. Family men you know? Baby Hyena's and everything.

Bud and Lou! Yes, those are great names! [They sound adorable, what with the way Harley's describing them, and Harald is absolutely loving it, even if they are actual literal hyenas.

Something about describing the pair as 'family men' really gets him, an endearing grin breaking out as he gives a soft chuckle. The image of Bud and Lou with their children is so undeniably pure.] They sound like a delight to have had by your side! Impossible as it may be, I would love to meet them sometime.

[Sulfr approaches the PokéGear with a cheery yip, pawing near the screen but not quite touching it. Harald murmurs something to her about being careful but otherwise lets her roam.]

I think naming your Pokémon in honour of your old companions would be appropriate, if that's what you decide to do. A way to let their memory live on, yes?

Thanks! I hate to admit it but they were a gift from my Ex. But he was a jerk so my babies and I hit the road!

[She turns the camera back on Bud and Lou 2.0 who are currently wrestling on the floor energetically turning into a tangled ball of fur and limbs. When Sulfr makes a noise though Harley turns the camera back to herself and squeals.]
