[At that, Lena hesitates; see, the shadow thing on its own, while an uncomfortable reminder of her aunt and the way she terrorized Lena for all of her short life... that was bearable. It's when the shadows aren't just shadows, when they can stand and can touch you and get in your head (both physically and emotionally) that it gets bad.

Normally, if her Gengar's not in its ball, it's off making trouble elsewhere in the city, so she never really has to deal with it. But with how similar it is to Magica's shadow, having it out of hers and too close to her... mmm.]

Nah. It'll probably get bored soon enough. Just gotta wait it out, I guess.

[Harald nods in understanding, lifting a hand in front of his Ninetales to get her to back off.] Sulfr, come.

[Petting Sulfr's head, Harald offers a warm smile to Lena.] Do you mind if I keep you company in the meantime, then? [Lena appears a bit lonely to him - or at least appears like a loner - and while he's also just hesitant to leave her alone while her Gengar's acting up, he figures having someone to talk to might lift the sense of unease he gets from her. Make her feel more comfortable in this situation.

Of course, she very well might not want some strange man she's never met before sticking around with her, and he'll be perfectly happy to leave her be if she so wishes.]

[When prodded, Lena would totally die before she admitted to anyone (except maybe Webby) that she was lonely. But it was true; for most of her life, she's lived with only Magica's shadow, or occasionally some groups of acquaintances as she made her way from Italy all the way to Duckburg. It was only in the last few months that she actually had friends. A few months out of fifteen years...

But she's not gunna tell this guy any of that. Instead she just crosses her arms, huffing a little.]

Don't know why you'd want to. I'm just heading back to the Pokemon Center for the night.

I'd like to keep an eye on your Gengar for a bit, if that's alright. I don't want it doing something worse because I spoke of trying to remove it. [He adjusts the strap of his bag, glancing down at the shadows cast along the ground. Soon they won't be distinguishable from the ambience of the city, and he'd much rather get inside before then.]

I'm heading that way myself, anyway.

[Harald has seen that sort of gesture before, a little bit in Brave and Dragan each, and it only makes him want to keep her safe even more. Defiance like that can easily run into trouble.]
