Yosuke Hanamura | Persona 4
Ack-!!
[As soon as Yosuke's face appears on screen, a Froakie leaps in a clings right onto said face.]
Not again!! Dude, c'mon, stop!
[With only one hand available, Yosuke is struggling really hard to pull the frog pokemon off without pulling his whole face off in the process. The poor little guy was a bit of a scaredy-cat as evidenced by its terrified look at something off screen. By the muffled speech, it sounds like this wasn't the first time either.
Yosuke sighs heavily, shoulders drooping comically as he, hopefully, has the camera still facing him (he doesn't).]
If anyone from Inaba is around, call me.
[He's so resigned to his fate. Is this karma? It probably is.]
PokéMart
[Given what kind of world this was, Yosuke was glad the staff didn't mind that he had a Frogadier strapped to his back. Yosuke named his Jiraiya, because of course he did, but he wasn't sure that was even a good name for him anymore.
The Pokemon was still terrified of his own shadow, hence the constant cling. At least he was well behaved for the most part? And Yosuke was starting to get used to the extra weight, which he wasn't sure was a good sign.
He stood on a stool, stocking some canned food with Jiraiya taped to his shirt. Looking over his shoulder and shoving Jiraiya's face out of the way, he greets you with a smile. A very practiced customer service smile.]
Hey! Anything you need help finding?

ii - PokéMart
C'mon now, stop fussin', [ Arthur mutters under his breath as if an over exhausted parent might, readjusting the pokémon so his legs don't swing freely as he carries him. ] We'll find you something.
[ There are some slick looking bottles that catch his attention, drawing him over as he skims over the labels. He only looks more confused the more he reads. The hell happened to the way things were? It really does feel like he was knocked on the head a little too hard.
So he's thankful for the stock-boy piping up, even if he starts out with a sigh. ] Yeah, you, uh. Got any medicine? I think it's sick, it's— [ Arthur pauses, shaking his head and shrugging as he looks down to the creature. ] It's pink, for God's sake and—small, for fawn.

Not that these were back, but -- anyway, Yosuke listens to the question as he steps off the ladder. He can't help but laugh a little. He doesn't mean to sound condescending but--]
Well, I mean, I got a blue frog attached to my shirt, sir. I think the creatures being different colors is normal.
[Jiraiya clings a little tighter, but stares intently at the big man and his pink Deerling. What will they do to him? The teen pats a blue hand (paw? what do you call frog hands anyway?)]
Jiraiya, dude, ya gotta calm down. C'mon. [He just gets a pathetic croak in response and the frog-like head ducks behind his shoulder.] Geez. Anyway, I'm sure your buddy is fine? You could always go to the Pokemon Center just in case, though.

The Deerling looks up to him and bleats at him, causing Arthur to look down. The fawn wiggles and he sighs, both nodding and shaking his head at the same time. ] All right, all right, easy. Here, [ Bending over he lets him down, standing back up in time to see Jiraiya climb up and hide. ] My buddy, huh?
[ He looks to the little pink thing, tail flicking as he prances about, circling Yosuke to get a better glimpse at the shy Frogadier with a louder greeting to the other creature. Arthur sighs out a muted groan, rubbing a hand on his chin. ] I guess that’s why it’s been following me around, then.
[ Clearly someone was still in a bit of denial about this new place. ]

[In the Deerlings quest to see Jiraiya, the Frogadier decided to climb all over Yosuke to get away. Even though the pink deer is barely past his knees.
The poor teen flails a bit.]
Y-Yeah, he's basically yours -ow!- now. Up to -gah!- up to you what you do w-with it though.
[He's wondering if he should put him back in his Pokeball but the whole point of leaving him out was to face his fears.]

But the little Deerling doesn't stop his pursuit when the Frogadier is hidden away. No, it only encourages him to jump up on the teen's leg and call out to the other creature. ] Now, hey— [ He lets out a sharp whistle before: ] John! [ It gets his Pokémon's attention with a small bleat but he still snaps his fingers and points beside himself. ] C'mere; stop harassin' them.
[ John hops off Yosuke and trots back to Arther with an apologetic look. ] Don't— [ He sighs and after a moment taps his leg to invite the Deerling up, petting his head when he excitedly starts wiggling his tail and stretched up to him. ] Well, he's been good. If not nosey. Loud. But... well-meaning. [ He ruffles his ears. ] Been lookin' out for me, I guess.

Heh, certainly looks like it, sir! I think its the other way around for me, but it's alright. I'm used to having people rely on me, I guess.
[He states it as a sort of matter of fact, not as a gloat or anything of the sort. It's what he had come to learn over the second year of high school, with the murders and TV world and stuff.]
Uh, so! Anyway, my name is Yosuke. I've only been here a few months, but you sort of get the hang of the place after awhile. Background music aside, anyway.
