On the Road
[It's an out of the way spot on one of the routes, less frequently traveled than most. But today it's the spot Grog has apparently claimed.]

[There's a patch of earth that's been meticulously cleared of all growth and debris, leaving a maybe twenty-five by twenty-five square area of smooth dirt, carefully lined by small rocks.]

[One larger rock is separate from the others, closer to the actual path, declares in slow but messy letters:]

[Grog himself is standing just inside the ring, trying and failing to not look excited. A Mankey clings to his shoulder, glowering out at the world.]

Y'wanna fight? It's ten- ten? Ten g- ...po-kay dool ers t'challenge, winner gets the pot so far. Y'can fight me, or th' monkey, or both of us together.

PokèCenter Blues
[That. Is certainly one destroyed Pokémon Center PC. It's actually smoking and sparking a little. Most impressively -or worrying, more likely- it looks like the damage was done in a single hit.]

[Grog stands nearby, shifting from foot to foot and trying very hard to look uninvolved.]

Alec - who has been meandering around only slightly (more than slightly) lost - stops at the "gym" and gives it a long look at, taking a moment to parse out what it says. Just behind him a Mimikyu peers out from behind his legs. A black tendril reaches out from under its disguise to fix some of the rocks making them less messy.

At Grog's challenge he looks up and then up some more at the Goliath and gives a hint of a deprecating laugh. "I am in no condition to fight you without my powers, which I can't do here." Sadly. "And I don't know if Mimikyu is interested in doing so either."

The pokemon shakes its head no.

"Have you been getting many takers?"
