I'm on about souls, um...sir? Ma'am? Doctor? [What's the proper polite address for this one, clearly an adult but not so clear in...everything else.] The Academy trained us to fight creatures that attack humans and eat their souls, so that's what I do, but now I'm here. So I'm trying to figure out what's the nature of that kind of thing here by asking.

You won't find any of that nonsense here. There's life and death, no in-between. Or- well, there would be death if one were allowed to die, unfortunately the laws of this universe prohibit it.

Well...I can't sense souls anymore, so I already figured something was wrong there. But how can people just not die here? Charon's whole species entry--[she means her Cubone that she indicates]--talks about how their mothers die. And where does that leave the ghost Pokemon?

I have no answers to give you, child, I arrived here just as clueless as yourself. I can only tell you what I've gathered in my time here.

But I can tell you that ghosts here are not like those in children's tales. They appear to just be another species of Pokemon with appearances comparable to that of ghosts.
