Oh man I can't believe that worked. [... Wait Lena you encouraged this without being certain of it's success--] But I guess there's really no difference between getting beat up by a person or another pokemon...

[Phew, that was a good laugh. Lena plops down on the ground next to her Ralts, still grinning ear-to-ear.]

You did real good, Webs. Just remember that not all those monsters are gunna be super weaklings like that one. There's some real weird stuff out there.

Y'know, I'm all up for adventure like, all day every day, but it feels weird doing all this without Mister - uh, I mean - uncle Scrooge around.

[She's still getting used to calling him that. Though... she's not sure if that title still applies when he told her that she wasn't family - no, no! They made up! It's gotta all be okay now.]

[Uncle, huh... seems like Lena missed a lot since she became a shadow again. But that sounds good, at least. She's glad Webby's family got all their dumb problems sorted out, because even if she can't be a part of it like Scrooge offered... she still wants them to be happy. Because they're her friends, or something dumb and sappy like that.]

Psh, you think Scrooge or the guys would want you to miss out on all the cool stuff this place has to offer just because they're not here? Dude, they'd probably be upset if you didn't go adventuring as soon as you could.

[Or maybe they WOULD be upset, because they wanna see it all for the first time with Webby. But screw that; if her best friend wants to go adventuring, then she'll take her adventuring!]

Not sure about laser eyes, but there's like... dogs that can breathe fire, and rats that can shoot electricity from their faces. That last one's kinda like laser eyes, right??

Yeah... you're right! This is the time to show off my true skills as an adventurer! [She dramatically points!] And I get to do it with my best friend. A Lena and Webby brand adventure! Our very first one!

[Which sounds... really fun? And Webby's really glad that she can say that at all, considering she thought she'd never see her best friend again. She flashes Lena a big grin for a moment.]

[Granted, it was just them being chased around Duckburg, so it wasn't a REAL adventure... but it was something. Their first big bonding moment.

And she'd had an ulterior motive then. Now... now it can really be just the two of them. No horrible, evil aunt whispering in her ear and berating her every time she showed genuine emotion towards Webby. It could actually be nice.]

Of course you do. [Said with utmost affection, of course.] I haven't seen any in the wild yet, but that just means we gotta get out there and really search around.

[Lena conveniently refuses to talk about ancient ruins in this place. The ruins she's seen have kind of been a bust for her, but she knows Webby would love the idea of trying to find something that others might have missed. So she keeps quiet... just so she ban bust it out as a surprise later, when they finally reach Violet City.]

You know what's even cooler?? They can grow into even bigger fire dogs, that some people ride. Pretty sick, right?
