She nods once, then looks around and changes directions to walk back where she came from. ]
I'm not too far out from New Bark Town. I don't mind flying at all. How long will it take for you to arrive?
no subject
[And he doesn't want to push the old girl too hard. She might take it as a challenge, but she's still a living thing. Racing is one thing. Long distance travel is another.]
[He hesitates, though, looking at the feed.]
Just stay safe. Please.

You don't need to worry, Shiro. I'll be fine. And I have my new friend to keep me company.
[ Swablu flaps its wings, making Allura tilt her face away slightly with a bemused expression. ]
The town isn't big, but is there anywhere in particular I should look for you?
no subject
[So there.]
[Kuro the Aggron snorts at her Swablu -- hello potential new friend. He is pleased to meet you.]
Anywhere, really. I'll find you. Promise.

On her shoulder, Swablu uses her distraction as an opening to preen the little curl that frames her face, then chirps at Kuro with a gentle flap of its wing for emphasis. Hello in return, potential new friend. What an exciting time to be alive! ]
I'll be waiting for you. Please, fly safely.
[ She's hesitant to end their call, but it's easier to pay attention to her surroundings this way, and Shiro needs to focus on his end as well, she's sure.
It takes her less time to make it back to New Bark Town than it had taken for her to reach the point she'd gotten to on Route 29, largely because she knows where she's going and doesn't hesitate at every noise coming out of the grass or the woods around her.
Once she's back in the town, she allows herself to relax. Shiro hadn't specified a meeting place, but the town really is hardly big enough to require one. The simplest thing is to return to the house she'd been unceremoniously ejected from that morning, sitting down out front to wait for her friend to arrive. There's a little food in her bag, so Allura eats lunch in the interim, feeding small bites to Swablu when it makes hopeful chirping noises at her.
It's an anxious wait, considering all the things that have changed. Hopefully Shiro won't be disappointed in the changes he finds; for her part, she can hardly wait to see him again.
A glint in the sky eventually catches her attention, and she moves out of the shadow of the house to stand in the street, hand shielding her eyes as she looks upwards for him. Swablu takes wing and circles her with its little cloud wings, making her even easier to spot from above. ]

[Skarmory is fast, he wasn't kidding about that. It's one of the fastest fliers in the world, or so he's learned. Of course he'd managed to get his hands on one. And with how much they've worked together, how often they've flown, he feels like he's managed to coax more speed out of her than usual.]
[It's important, after all. It's of utmost importance he get there, that he sees her. It's been... so long. Yes, he knew she got away from Zarkon safely. He knew they were all reunited, that things worked out, but that old ache is still there. It still stings. Skarmory, as if sensing the urgency, gains more altitude before they arrive, so they can catch some more speed on their descent.]
[He needs to see her. Just to be sure.]
[They drop out of the sky like a stone. A gleaming stone made of metal and knives -- Skarmory, anyway. Shiro looks like Shiro, albeit wearing goggles and hat, plus a coat, because hey, it's cold up there.]
Allura!
[Even before Skarmory lands, he's hopping off. Beaming.]

It's so good to see you.
[ Her voice is stilted, holding back her emotions. Swablu is flapping around, and it comes to land on Shiro's head, puffing out happily. ]
no subject
[It's not a dream.]
[This is really happening.]
You too. You... everyone's going to be glad to see you.
no subject
Let me look at you.
[ Her voice is gentle as she takes in the sight of him, with his tan and his colorful hair peeking out from under the cap he's wearing. This is not the Shiro she saw last, whose soul she'd pulled from the astral plane, whose arm she'd built and powered with the gem from her tiara, who had hugged her one last time and told her she never needed to thank him for anything again. ]
Thank you for coming to get me. Where are you living now? What's the last thing you remember from... from before?
no subject
Like I said. Three years... [He'll pull off his helmet enough to let the rest of that ridiculous hair fluff shake out. A streak in it for each Lion, the rest its usual black and grey. Under the flight jacket, a shirt covered in Staryu print. His cheeks faintly pink.]
[And the arm is... definitely attached. No floating white hand here.]
Always. No matter where. [He'd come for her.] We found a little house out on an island here. Our friend Armin found it... and we just ended up taking it over.
The last thing I remember... we were getting Slav off the prison station.

[ She hugs him abruptly a second time for good measure, forehead pressed into his shoulder. Her little tiara is missing the chalcedony-blue stone that had once decorated the center, but apart from that there aren't any visible signs of change in the princess.
Eventually she pulls back again, somewhat self-consciously, and Swablu lands on her shoulder again. ]
Does your mount need to rest? That must have been a taxing journey. We could sit and talk, perhaps? You could tell me about your time here in this world, and what your life is like now. I want to hear all about it.
no subject
[He's used to it by now. Used to being the one behind. And just accepts it. So hopefully, the calm acceptance in his voice will reassure her to a degree. He lifts his left hand, brushing the back of it over her face.]
[Or he tries to. Because she's suddenly hugging him. And all he can do is hug her back, tightly. One hand smoothing down her hair. It's okay - whatever is wrong, it's okay. He's got her.]
[As long as she needs it.]
She will, probably. Ah - right. This is Skarmory. [The Pokemon clacks her metal beak, trilling something that sounds more like a raptor than a bird.] We're happy to talk.
