There'd been no danger of that for Cassandra, for better or worse.

She is still working on the whole figuring out what the hell happened bit, but she gives her name anyway. Better that than letting someone else come up with some epithet she'll come to hate. "Cassandra."

"Johann." At least it's simple enough to remember, even if he's just continuing his forging ahead and not really looking back. She could leave, if she wanted to, and he wouldn't question it. But who knows what he's up to at this point. "What kind of place you from? I'm going to take a wild guess and it's not something like this."

...And they've hit the awkward topic phase in near-record time.

Cassandra would honestly rather not talk about her world; it's clearly very far behind this one given the presence of objects and devices far more advanced than what she's familiar with, and that's without trying to explain yoma, Awakened Beings, Abyssal Ones, warriors, or the Organization. After some internal debate, she finally settles on, "Isolated. And backwards."

He's pretty good at that!

Though he can... sort of semi-relate to it, in a way. "Sounds about right. Everything's so peaceful seeming around here and it's starting to have me wonder when the veneer's gonna be pulled back and see the actual awful behind it." That's literally just you, Johann, but it's fine. "Can't say my world was really isolated, but the moon base certainly was." For. A lot. Of reasons. That he's not sure he has the energy to really explain.

Cassandra nods. She's been thinking along similar lines. "It's... too peaceful, isn't it? Or it feels that way." So apparently it's not just him.

And then she's brought up short again. "Moon base?"

"It's gotta be some kind of ploy or trap, it all just seem so fake." Good thing it's not just him.

Oh, right. Moon bases aren't. Exactly common, are they? "Uhhhh. Long story involving a group that, like, retrieves dangerous artifacts to keep people safe or something. You know, that kinda thing."

She nods again. "None of this seems real," she agrees, although admittedly the fact that so many of the things here seem entirely beyond her ken doesn't help matters at all.

She... doesn't quite know that kind of thing - not the part about retrieving artifacts, anyway - but protecting people is something she can understand (it's what she was created for, after all), so she just nods.
