Sento Kiryu | Kamen Rider Build
Sento is leafing through an old travel pamphlet looking remarkably unimpressed. "Ghosts. Really, it's all probably just mass hysteria brought on by the current mass hysteria of...whatever is currently up with that music." He's not talking to anyone in particular save for the increasingly-nervous looking Scorbunny trotting along by his side. Somehow, he's managed to avoid Ghost-type Pokemon up until now. Somehow. ("There's a reasonable explanation," he said, "just because they call them ghost-type Pokemon doesn't mean they're actually ghosts," he said...)
And that...is something materializing behind him. A Gastly, not that he'd know the proper nomenclature. He's still engrossed in the brochure. His Scorbunny, however, has noticed it, and it has started reacting appropriately--by jumping up and down and making a lot of panicked noises while waving its arms around in an attempt to attract the attention of its very focused Trainer. "Not you too, Tank," Sento says with a sigh. "It's clearly just a ploy to tourists worked up enough to spend a great deal of money--" He's cut off as his Scorbunny jumps up there in a panic and kicks him in the head, forcing him to turn in the direction of the Gastly--
--which has vanished with a laugh, because of course it has. "What was that for?!" He's getting chattered at by the poor Scorbunny, and as soon as he turns back around, of course the Gastly comes back. Tank the Scorbunny runs a paw down his face. This is going to be one of those days, isn't it?
[Network, also in Lavender Town because why not]
I appear to have found myself in a situation and require assistance.
[Because text, as everyone knows, is better for saving what little remains of one's dignity.]
I was running a bit of an experiment, you see, and I was unaware my Magnemite would react to that Berry in that manner, and I'm not sure I can survive a fall from this height.
[Details? Who needs details?]
I would imagine the authorities are likely going to find me sooner rather than later given the disruption to the radio tower, but if anyone could provide the necessary assistance now, I'm sure things won't blow up into such a big fuss.
[There is a very long pause.]
And if you find a Scorbunny that appears to be laughing its head off, that one's mine, if you could herd him this way, I would appreciate it. He hasn't been very helpful.
Lavender Town HEYOO
The female voice isn't actually looking at him, instead focused intently on a Pokegear while the Impidimp on her head stares evenly at Sento.
"But ghosts are very real, they're considered their own unique type of Pokemon, in the same pseudo-elemental vein as Fairy and Psychic."
no subject
For now."I am aware of that, yes, but that's just a name, it's not like they're really ghosts, and my companion here seems to be a bit jumpy despite the music clearly being meant to spook human tourists."Tank now has his little arms crossed and is grumbling what probably passes for Scorbunny profanity under his breath, though he does take a moment to wave at the Impidimp.
no subject
"Why don't you believe they're real?" Now she looks at him, maroon eyes staring with an all-too-intense curiosity. "This place clearly doesn't obey the standard laws of physics as we might know them within our home universes, so there's nothing to suggest that ghosts don't have a tangible presence here, if they don't on ours."
no subject
Sento sighs the sigh of a man whose home universe doesn't obey any other universe's normal laws of physics but sees nothing wrong with it anyway. "Things here just haven't been sufficiently analyzed, that's all, but to think there's an entire subclass of Pokemon with abilities that stem from being dead strikes me as absurd. The abilities may mimic what one might interpret as being a ghost, but I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for it."
Beside him, the Scorbunny makes a sort of "blah, blah, blah" gesture.

Network
You wouldn't be talking about the Goldenrod Radio Tower, would you? Because I work there. Maybe I could smooth things out for you.
no subject
Or on it, anyway.
Stuck to the outside some distance up. So is the Magnemite.

Though I am honestly surprised we haven't disrupted the broadcast. Perhaps they've reinforced this tower against any mischief from electric-type Pokemon.
[Or physicists who got in over their heads.]

[It's funny. If he and Jack hadn't hit it off so well, that might have been him at Lavender Tower. He'd been thinking a little about whether or not he might want to request to work in a town surrounded by ghosts--but he hadn't wanted to have to take a magnet train whenever he wanted to get laid and that was enough to shelve that idea.]
If you can't get down any other way, though, just let me know. I've got a good relationship with my bosses. I'm sure they can talk to the other Tower administrators in a way that won't get you arrested.
no subject
Has anyone in your area noticed any sort of disruption coming from Lavender Town's tower?
And did anyone send a Fearow? There is a Fearow over here now. I do not think it looks especially happy with us, though I would imagine some annoyance with the rescue would be to be expected.
no subject
And-- I don't think anyone's sent a Fearow from here. That I know of. It would take some hours to fly to Lavender at any rate.
no subject
It is rather irritated.
It may be worth calling someone over here, actually; I do not think my Magnemite can keep me and it safely anchored to the tower while fighting the Fearow off.

Town
The Absol looks up at him, and he nods, and she pounces the Ghastly while it's distracted by mocking Sento and Tank, tossing a Future Sight at it and a swipe to follow up. Take that, you trickster!
no subject
Tank wriggles his way out of Sento's arms and bounds forward to help with that Gastly, thank you very much. He just shoots an Ember at the Gastly, because he's still young and that's about the only move he's got that'll scratch a Ghost-type.
no subject
Apparently he's not going to say anything (yet, anyway), or fight.

"Should listen to your pokemon," Soldier suggests once it's done. "They're as smart as any person." Well, most of them.
Town
Beside her, two of Cassandra's Pokemon have also been watching the goings-on. The Type: Null (which is oddly sparkly) seems wary, while the Skitty only seems to have a passing interest in the proceedings; then again, she is only a (S)kitten, if an oddly unnerving one.
no subject
The Scorbunny starts to chatter something to the other Pokemon, stops upon getting a better read on that Skitty, and directs the chattering to the Type: Null. Bro, please tell him you have an attack that can hit Ghosts, because right now, he sure doesn't, except for Ember, and setting everything on fire doesn't seem like a great idea right now.
no subject
Cassandra, for her part, suppresses a sigh. This man is probably going to have a difficult time here, she thinks. "Yes," she answers as Blade's attack hits the Gastly straight-on.
no subject
Tank rolls his eyes and cheers the other Pokemon on.
no subject
Blade and Misty Malarkey, meanwhile, concentrate on subduing the Gastly. Cassandra wonders if it would be better if she called them off; surely the Gastly wouldn't find its game as fun now that it knows the man knows it's there?
