The knowledge that one man and one Tepig will not starve today is 'payment' enough, as far as I'm concerned.

[Even if it was not, Dimitri doesn't look like he'd have much to offer, but Cecil would rather swallow his tongue than say that out loud.

As he speaks, he starts shuffling through his bag and takes out Noelle the Blissey's pokéball. Instead of throwing it, he gently sends it rolling to the side, ensuring that Dimitri won't have to deal with a Blissey suddenly popping up in his personal space.]

However, I'd also accept proper introductions, if you are willing. My name is Cecil Harvey, and this is Noelle.

[Smiling, the Blissey waves.]

[That doesn't seem like enough... and honestly, it feels like a long time since proper introductions have mattered at all. Still, Dimitri understands. He gives a slow nod.]

I am Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd... and this is Dean.

[Newly named, despite them having traveled together for some time... but listen.]

[He goes right back to looking through his bag, while Noelle takes out the egg resting in her pouch and proudly presents it to the duo. See, doesn't it look fresh and tasty, a supreme egg among eggs?

Still, it is a simple, lonely raw egg, which might be why Cecil triumphantly pulls out a slightly battered frying pan. No need to risk salmonella today.]

Fear not; even without it, I have plenty of jerky and dried fruits for the rest of my trip. Would you like some for the road?

[It's... It's a nice egg he guesses??? Dimitri stopped paying attention to food a long time ago, when he stopped being able to taste it. Still, he looks more and more awkward.]

[If only Cecil knew he's asking for the impossible! Yet he does not so he merely grabs a few sticks of wood before stopping, a slight frown on his face.]

Ah, but perhaps Dean would be willing to help me start the fire? Noelle knows Flamethrower and Fire Blast, but... As far as I'm concerned, a campfire is better for cooking than a bonfire.

[Noelle nods sadly at that.]

[Dimitri perks up, however, at the offer of starting a fire. He can do that! Well, Dean can do that... but Dean is an extension of his soul, or a representation, or a mirror, or some such thing, so... same thing.]

[Yes, this is Dimitri's working theory on what on earth has happened to him.]

[If he had an axe, or a lance, this would be easier... but he can work with this.]

Excellent! It'd be much easier if we could cut down a few branches ourselves, but with all the fighting that takes place on every route, there should be some dry wood to be found.

[He almost hands the pan over to Noelle, but thinks better of it and leaves on top of his bag instead. The few sticks he already has are set aside in a separate pile.]

[Setting down his own bag, rather light for the time being, Dimitri stirs a bit.]
