[The Aggron does not seem to entirely appreciate the sudden movement of the Machop - as far as Aggrons go, Kuro is a fairly calm example. Except when anything appears to encroach on his trainer. But aside from looming a little taller, fixing those blue eyes flatly on Machop, he doesn't move.]

[Shiro, on the other hand, just nods, shifting his pack to rifle through for another bottle of water. Of course he has more. He wouldn't be the team dad otherwise.]

Sure, just a second -

[Only to pause, and frown in confusion at the offer of payment. Of any kind.]

No, you don't need to repay me. It's water, man. [He'll toss it to the kid, slinging his backpack into place again.] You keep your food, all right? Seems like you'll need it if you're running around out here.

[ Likewise, the Machop does not seem to understand that he's done anything wrong by invading someone else's personal space. There's a sort of single-mindedness to him, but the fixation was temporarily broken with the touch from his trainer, who has his attention until the water actually comes out. His hand flashes out lightning quick, catching it before Kirishima can. The redhead chuffs. ]

Nice, dude.

[ There's no protest as Kirishima takes the aforementioned water bottle from the Machop and opens it, turning his attention back to Shiro. Just as he thought, the guy's a good samaritan.

He takes a couple of grateful sips from the water bottle before passing it to his Pokemon. The reason for him helping himself first might become clear when Machop begins to just guzzle the remainder; this was a lesson Kirishima already had to learn the hard way. ]

Thanks, sir. I'd warn you that there's a pretty angry Onix rolling around in there, but it looks like you guys can handle it. If you don't mind me asking, what is that Pokemon? It's awesome! It looks like something that'd come out of a movie where I'm from! Well... actually there is one actual big dinosaur hero that's real, but he doesn't have that kind of plate armor.

[That abrupt grab makes Shiro wish he'd brought along more water. Are these guys that unprepared? Or have they just run into a bad spot, lately? He's got half a mind to get them back to town to restock, just in case.]

Just Shiro is fine, really.

[Sir doesn't need to happen, here. He's not in any kind of leadership position for this teen. Or authority.]

I appreciate it, but, yeah, we can probably handle it in there. If you need a hand, we'll come with you. [Without glancing back, he reaches to put a hand on the side of his pokemon's neck. Absently digging his fingers in under the helmet for some good Aggron scritches.]

This is Kuro. He's an Aggron - he was my first.

[ Shiro could observe that the teenager's clothes look a bit worn and dirty, probably as if he's had to wear just one outfit for a bit. He cringes and reaches out to try and catch the Machop's hand as the crushing of the water bottle starts. Machop does stop and allows it to be taken, casting a look between his trainer and then a more eager one to Shiro. It wants more, clearly, and soon moves its gaze towards his pack. ]

We probably ought to head back to town...

[ Kirishima frowns, not seeming too happy about the prospect. But his attention is brought back around to the introduction to the Aggron. He brightens. ]

Hey Kuro!

[ Back to Shiro. ]

Y'know... I just can't help thinking how totally unmanly it was to just run away from that Onix! If we leave now, we'll probably never find it again! We ought to go after it and give it a real fight! You thinkin' the same thing as me, Machop?

[ Kirishima drops the empty bottle into his lap in favor of smacking his fist into his own palm, looking over to his Pokemon. Machop's fixation snaps away from Shiro's bag to his trainer and he clenches a fist in turn. Maaa-chop-chop! ]

Hell yeah!

[ Kirishima looks back to Shiro, offering a sharp little grin. ]

If you're offerin', man, we could use someone to spot us. Someone to step in and make sure we don't get in too deep, y'know? You guys up for that?
