I don't know what they eat. Rockruff has just been eating what I do

Well... I've found they usually have their own preference. It's sort of... a guessing game until you find the right thing. But they love berries, which you can find along the routes.

Pokepuffs, too; you'll have to buy those, but they're good for a special treat.

So they don't need the same diet that a normal animal does?

No, not especially. Though... my Skwovet will devour anything that's not meat, so it doesn't seem to hurt them to have human food.
