Mine as well- it's not like anything I've seen before... but I do agree. [ And there's a gentle smile here as she plays with her cleffa's little paw. ] Most animals that I'm used to aren't so personable, so it's kind of nice.

[ At his invitation, she nods, adjusting her backpack slightly. This isn't her first rodeo... ]

I'm pretty good with the cats back home, but they're nothing like this. [Ashe leaned down to pick up his Eevee and scratch behind their ear. He returned the smile with one of his own.]

Nice to meet you Lumine, my name is Ashe. Oh, did you see the gear they gave us? It's my first time seeing something like this. [He reached in his bag and pulled it out.] I wonder what do we do with this?

[ She leans over to look at the device, before shaking her head. ]

I remember the woman in that house saying that it could be used for communication, but I don't understand how. I haven't checked the guide yet, do you know if it said anything?

[ Meanwhile, the cleffa is trying to reach for the eevee. That is a certified New Friend and he will say hi!!!! Automatically, Lumine lowers him a bit more, but otherwise she's not to keen to risk him wandering away while they talk. ]

Hmm, I haven't check the guide yet, except to see if there was any landmarks in town. I didn't know where I could get food for my little friend, the guide mentioned the center and I wanted to check it out. Oh, I'm sure they'll know in the center.

[Ashe looked down when his Eevee started chirping in response. He lowered Eevee who chirped happily at their new friend! Ashe was worried about letting Eevee wander around on their own too.]

Oh I did learn that we're called trainers in the guide. Our little friends here can be used to fight, but I don't think I want to do that though.

These are the fighters?! But they're so small-- If fighting is going to happen, I'd rather be the one on the forefront. [ she misses her sword. ] They don't even look like they'd be able to do much right now... maybe they'll be more capable when they get older, but. It's still uncomfortable.

[ Still, she listens and nods at his reasoning- it makes sense. Cleffa is happily waving his tiny little arms as he chirps happily to the eevee- his trainer gave him a flower earlier, isn't that neat? It's even still clutched in it's other tiny little paw. This isn't helping Lumine's doubts about pokémon battles however. ]

If you still don't mind my accompanying you, I'd like to know too- and, to be honest, I'm not used to being alone. [ It's harder to admit than it sounds. ] I've always had my brother or a friend at my side. I'm not... really eager to change that in a new world.

Me too, I wouldn't want them to get hurt even if the guide mentioned that they can battle I'd want to protect them. Still, I wouldn't want anything to happen to them. [Ashe could understand, he missed his bow and arrows. Eevee chirped back happily, their tail wagging while he held him, and got excited over the flower. The Eevee really liked the flower in Cleffa's hand! Ashe doesn't like the idea of them battling either.

Oh, no, I don't mind the company. Yeah I'm used to seeing my friends and traveling with them too. I'm happy for the company. [He chuckled when Eevee chirped happily in his arms.] Eevee is happy to have the company too. I wasn't looking forward to being alone in this new world either. When did you get here?

Only earlier today. I've watched a few others like us go by, but... to be honest some people seemed pretty upset, and I just... wasn't able to bring myself to help.

[ Which she feels bad about. A dragon, sure, but emotional distress? Noooo way! Come ON, Lumine. ]

[ Still, she can't think about it too much when Cleffa chimes out happily about everything. A trainer, a flower, and two whole new friends? Today is WONDERFUL!!! ]

That's understandable. I tried to ask a few people on how to get to the Pokemon Center or what to do with the guide when they weren't up for talking. I was pretty confused too so I wasn't to help them.

[He felt a little bad about it, but he couldn't help like he wanted to. He would do more once he got his bearings in this new place. Eevee couldn't believe today! Today turned out to be amazing! He chirped happily as he wiggled his ears.]

I'm glad we ended up somewhere nice. The lady in the house I woke up even let me use her kitchen to make lunch. I do hope we'll get a chance to write her or something. Oh, we probably need some supplies from the center too. What do you think we should get?

[Eevee chirped in his arms. Ashe chuckled as he looked down at Eevee.]

Besides, food for you of course.

[ He's a bit over-eager, considering they don't even know what's available. But it reminds her of Paimon, and it makes her laugh. ]

I think we should see what the options even are, first. With how common people like us seem to be, it'd be foolish of them to not have recommendations at the least.

[ Still, Lumine glances back at the house they came from. ]

I wonder if she gets sad, ushering every guest out the door while believing them to be her own child... It sounds lonely. But yes, I think it's time to get these two some snacks, at the least.

[Ashe couldn't help being a little excited. It had been some time since he had something to look forward to, that the excitement he buried under years of being a soldier came out. He smiled when she laughed.]

Hmm, that's true they'll have many choices to choose from. [Ashe nodded as he adjusted his book bag]

I wondered about that too. I hope she doesn't feel too lonely and has someone to check on her. [He hoped he could visit her again. Eevee chirped happily at the mention of treats. Ashe chuckled as he looked down at him.]

Yes, we're going to get you guys some treats. I'm going to look through the guide again to see if there's something else we can do with our little friends.

I'm sure she does. Small towns like this are often full of kindness to their own, I've found... [ Though that wasn't always the case. But with how gentle everything else seems, she doesn't want to doubt it. ] Maybe her actual child is around somewhere.

[ Cleffa heard treats? He heard treats!! And he is chirping and waving his little baby hands wildly. Lumine laughs, holding him out some. ]

Okay, okay! I think this little guy's impatient. Do you know where the market is?
