[Vil's not the only one who's stopped by this berry farm. Trey's popped in to get some of these Berries for the road--his... Scorbunny(?) seemed pretty thrilled by the prospect, so he figured why not.

But the comment directed to the Salandit makes him pause in his picking. He knows that voice.]

Vil?

[Hi, Vil, it's Trey, dressed considerably differently than usual! Also sans hat.]

[Oh, he knows that voice -

He looks up from where he’s nudging his Salandit away from a fallen berry, blinking at Trey.]

Trey?

[A pause.]

What are you wearing?

The spare outfit I was provided with. I didn't want anything to happen to my uniform while I was traveling... Figured if any accidents happen, I'd prefer it being to, uh, this.

[Of course that's Vil's concern though... Trey's Scorbunny peeks from where it's hiding behind Trey's leg, eyeing Vil curiously.]

...It’s strange seeing you in anything but the Heartslabyul colors.

[Especially when replaced with Pomefiore colors. Vil, of course, looks at home in his spare outfit.

The Scorbunny catches his attention, and he raises an eyebrow.]

Your companion?

Ahaha... Maybe I can pick something up closer to those in the next town.

[But Trey doesn't mind the Pomefiore colors at all! They're nice, and it's not like he looks awful in them or something. And Vil looks fantastic in that outfit, but of course he does, it's Vil.

The Scorbunny waves but doesn't move otherwise. Trey chuckles.]

Yes. This is Marzipan, a... Scorbunny, I believe it was.

[aquatofana]

[Is that better or worse...]

Perhaps. Red is a nice color on you, though...

[Hand on his chin, before he nods.]

I've seen much worse.

[Now, back to Marzipan. His lip quirks into a smirk for a moment - of course Trey would name a monster Marzipan - and he nods. He's... Not familiar with Scorbunnies. But that's fine.

His Salandit peers from around Vil's legs, before skittering over riiiight up close to Marzipan.]

And that's Nerium.

[He chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck. He'll take it.

... Heh. Nerium. Of course Vil would pick that... Marzipan blinks, ducking back behind Trey's leg... before peeking back and waving to Nerium.

Trey crouches down to get a better look at the Salandit, smiling faintly.]

[They're both painfully predictable.

Vil turns back to the berry tree, while Nerium stiiiicks her head out to get a better look at Marzipan. Her tongue flicks out, scenting the air, before she decides what she really wants to do is scrabble up Trey.]

Be careful if she begins producing any gas.

[Said as he drops some more berries into his basket.]

[... Concerning, but ultimately not surprising. Trey lets Nerium climb onto him and gently patting her with a grin.

After a few moments of this, Marzipan decides that she wants to see what Vil's up to so she scampers over to get a better look.]

[Oh, hello. Vil looks down at Marzipan, knowing full well the Pokemon is plenty spoiled, before he sighs. He pulls a berry from the basket, before crouching and holding it out to the Scorbunny.

Nerium, meanwhile, is delighted by the attention and chitters. She's... Going to make herself comfy, clinging to Trey's front.]

[Oh!! Marzipan's expression brightens as she takes the Berry with a 'bun!' that's clearly meant to be a 'thank you.'

... And this sure is just happening now, huh? Trey can't spoil Nerium with snacks (as much as he'd like to...), but he can spoil her with attention!]

[aquatofana]

[He tries to resist, before giving in and patting Marzipan on the head.]

She’s quite well behaved.

[Unlike Nerium, who can’t stay still.]

[The Scorbunny beams as she's patted on the head, then starts nibbling on the Berry.]

She is, isn't she? I have to admit, I was expecting her to be a bit rowdier...

[Nerium can't stay still, but Trey's amused.]

And Nerium's quite energetic. It's cute.
