Your safety's a huge concern! Both because you're important on your own, whether or not you believe it, but also because Dimitri would pine away to nothing if anything happened to you, and I don't think you want that. Your safety's an investment in his well-being, Dedue, so keep that one in mind.

Anyway, it's all well and good to leave the decision to Dimitri, but unless you want him making an unsafe decision, maybe help me influence those decisions towards reason a little bit?

Hey, I never said you should give him orders! More like, y'know, use your influence with him and your own levelheadedness and common sense to keep him from making bad or dangerous decisions. Giving him a nudge in the right direction. You could even think of it as you offering him resources he doesn't have that you do, so that things go better for him. Because, uh, levelheadedness is definitely a thing he's lacking right now! But you always seem to have plenty.
