[He picks up the Gear and turns it around to show Roxy the room in Jane's house where he's staying, in which six different other species of cat Pokemon are playing along with two Eevees, a Riolu, and a Dedenne.]

[ She is absolutely star-struck at so many kitties, despite (or perhaps because) of her own abundance of cats back 'home'. ]

eeeeeeeeeeee There are so many!! I'll bet that isn't even all of them available too, oh my gosh, you are living the dream!

[ Pumpkin gives a little mew- excuse you, she's right here??? Is she not enough. ]

Sorry, Pumpkin, you know I love you. But I wanna get you friends!! Oh!!! This is Pumpkin, an' I'm Roxy!!

[Hm. Her enthusiasm reminds him of Annette. If she starts singing a song about cats, he's going to lose his mind. For now, he just nods.]

[And then a nosy Liepard peers over the top of the screen, upside-down from Roxy's point of view. Felix sighs.]

Well hello, Varley, you are just a marvelous li'l mischief maker. And Fantine is very cute.

[ Pumpkin is admittedly fascinated by all these cats, and is trying to bat at the Gear again. Roxy can only giggle and hold it just out of reach. ]

So you've been here for a while, yea? Since you got so many and all.

A little while. About two months. The group I'm with travels a lot for gym challenges. So we run into quite a variety in the wild. I--

[The blue Meowstic has now noticed that there's something interesting going on here and jumps up onto Felix's lap so it can push up onto its hind legs and peer into the screen with a cold, judgmental look in its eye.]

...oh. This is Fellstar.

This is the highlight of today, I hope you understand.

[ And she absolutely gasps in delight when another cat comes into view- everything is wonderful. There is cooing, and waving, and everything. Your judgment does not faze her, Fellstar. ]

[Wow, she really likes cats.]

[ SHE LOVES CATS SO MUCH FELIX. ]

[He gets up, taking the Gear with him. First on the cat tour is a large Luxray, who's already waiting for his introduction with his chin held high in proud excitement, tail swishing back and forth.]

This is Alexandre.

[Felix moves over to the windowsill, where a lanky Litleo cub is stretched out lazily, yawning in the afternoon sunlight.]

That's Jose. And that's--

[He swings the Gear around to focus on an annoyed-looking Glameow and an absolute furrball of a Galarian Meowth wrestling and pouncing on each other over in a corner.]

That's Nuisance and the Glameow I caught recently. She doesn't have a name yet.

[ It says something about Roxy that she can excitedly coo out a compliment to each cat- not that they're guaranteed to be paying attention. And then there's the last two... ]

Oh man, that thing's fuckin' wild, I love it! What an absolute gremlin of a cat. Incredible! And that pretty lady's so nice!

I'm sure you'll come up with somethin' super suitable. They're all wonderful!

Um. Thanks.

[There's something about Roxy that's weirdly...comfortable. Relentlessly positive like Annette, but casual about it like Claude. Plus she obviously loves cats, so that's a point in her favor already.]

They're all named after my friends. Their middle or last names. [He snorts quietly.] Even Nuisance. I can think of several friends off the top of my head who qualify.

Perhaps I'll name the Glameow after you. If that's all right.

[ Roxy gapes at the suggestion before grinning with absolute delight, almost giggling. ]

Do you have a middle name? If not, your last name will do. Or she could simply be Roxy, I suppose.

I don't, actually. But my last name's Lalonde. You can use whatever!

Oh, definitely. 'Fore I got here, most of my place was like, full of cats and I miss that. If I get a place here I'll probably just fill it with more.

In that case, I'll send you the locations where I caught each of these cats so you know where to look. Unfortunately, we took Nuisance from a Rocket bandit, so I don't know where you would find one like him in the wild.
