[Another newcomer with a cat Pokemon...there seem to be a lot of those, although so far he's never seen anyone else begin with a Purrloin. Granted, there are a lot of cat Pokemon in general...but there are more birds, for instance, and few newcomers seem to start with those. He has no idea whether that means anything or not.

no it's not normal for a cat to set its hairballs on fire. but a litten is a fire pokemon so it's probably normal for that cat specifically more or less. that's one of the few I don't have yet. some cats just don't like those things. if you try to force him you'll just alienate him. there are berries that work more or less like catnip. they won't help with hairballs though. those come from grooming. they're fine as long as they're not excessive.
