I am fine. You, on the other hand, look as though you are under extreme distress.
[The man in the brown jacket pauses, staring down at Hagakure with all his six-foot-nine self. He casts a single glance towards the released Gastly. The Growlithe inches away, a small growl building up in its throat.]
Who is Keanu Reeves?

[Extreme distress is putting it mild, and considering the way Hagakure is yelling and tugging at his head, a small crowd has begun to gather around them. Not that he notices nor cares.
At least he doesn't startle again at that unassuming Growlithe. Actually, it's kind of cute. Between that, and the monotonous question he's asked, Hagakure actually seems to calm down a bit. He heaves a quiet sigh, leveling his watery gaze upwards towards this giant of a man.]
Y-You don't know Keanu Reeves? He's like... you know... the Matrix guy, yeah?
[Okay, maybe explaining the Matrix to someone who might be from Pokémon isn't the wisest idea, but Hagakure isn't really thinking straight. Still, he pulls his hands from his head and shoves his hands into his pockets... only to feel his pokéball is gone. Uh oh.]

I am not familiar with his work. Is he important to you?
[In the XXth century, unfortunately, much modern media has been lost to the relentless march of time. Keanu Reeves' filmography is not exempt from this. The man in the brown jacket does not know how tragic and ironic this is for him, as all of the action movies based on the real-life exploits of Jet Siquliak, the Unnatural Disaster, would likely rival that of Keanu Reeves in John Wick.
Jet Siquliak, of course, being the name of the man standing before Hagakure. But the stranger does not know this, and the man does not seem particularly inclined to share this information. The current crowd gathering does, however, concern him. He studies Hagakure with an even gaze.]
As strange as these circumstances may seem, there does not seem to be anything that will immediately harm you or I. I suggest you engage in any preferred mindfulness techniques you may know.

It doesn't matter much now... not until I wake up from this dream, yeah?
[But it's true, he does need to calm down. Freaking out won't change anything, he's learned that lesson before.
Hagakure levels his gaze upwards, brow pinched, and when he slowly inhales his next breath, he just... drops. He sits in the middle of the street, cross-legged with his hands resting on his knees. He continues to breathe deeply, chest expanding visibly as his eyes slip closed. Calm settles over him, rounding down his shoulders, and the buzz of the city around them suddenly seems to fade out.
Only once he feels that serenity does Hagakure open his eyes once more. Except when he does, he isn't facing the old man. He's face to face with the bug-eyed and malevolent face of his Ghastly, the Pokémon grinning wide at him. Screw peace! He shrieks again, jumping up from his spot on the ground and running towards Jet, just to put the giant of a man between him and that impish little orb.]

Hagakure's sudden shriek causes Jet to wince as the stranger stumbles to cower behind him. Sensing distress, the Growlithe jumps in front of Jet and begins yapping furiously at the Ghastly--though it poses little threat between how small it is and how high the Ghastly is currently hovering. Jet, on the other hand, glances back towards Hagakure.]
A curious technique. I have never seen this sort of mindfulness exercise before.
[It is impossible to tell if he truly believes Hagakure's meditation involved screaming or if he's joking. He stares down the Ghastly with an unflinching expression, completely ignoring the barking Growlithe at his feet.]
Is this Pokémon not yours? I was under the impression that it came from your pockets. It did appear when you bumped into me.

[The pitched whine comes from behind Jet, with a guy who's all too eager to cling to the back of a strange old guy he's never met before. But that old guy is probably not going to kill him—unlike a ghost.
But the question gives him pause. He's still really not used to being trapped inside of the beloved childhood franchise he was too poor to afford as a kid, but slowly... he's getting kind of used to it. Even if this isn't a dream, it's by far the nicest place he's ever mysteriously woken up—and way better than waking up trapped inside of a murdergame.]
Well... I'm not really sure, yeah...? I just grabbed the pokéball and ran. I didn't think much about it...
[But if it came out of his pocket, it must be his...?]
N-No way! I don't want a ghost followin' me! How do I switch my Pokémon? Do you know, old man...?
