Mina Ashido / My Hero Academia
[ Mina feels like she was rudely awakened, sitting up on the bed and looking around for a moment. Until she realizes she is not in her room - far too little hot pink and purple; plus no animal prints? - but before she can be as surprised as she wants to be, some lady is pretty much telling her to head out.
Wondering if she may have gotten hurt and someone took her in - she doesn't remember any of that though - Mina slowly obeys until halfway through she finally snaps out of it. Before she does, however, she is shoved out of the door. ] Hey!! Hey, lady-!!
[ what what WHAT W H A T
quickly she bangs on the door ] What's happening?! Hey!! [ and that's when she notices a weird plant that seems to have eyes and a mouth and is staring at her. Mina looks at it, then looks around, and then looks back at it - and then the pokémon speaks ] Mareanie.
Ah, it speaks. [ Mina whispers that. What... is she meant to do here? maybe this is someone with a quirk, yeah ] Hi! I'm Mina Ashido! Can you help me? I'm so lost, and I woke up in this lady's house but she kicked me out before answering any of my questions and--
Mareanie!
[ Mina stops talking. Maybe this is a child? What does she do?? Quickly looking around, she spots the first person passing by before she starts waving frantically ] Hey!! Is this your kid?!
Violet City
[ Despite the rocky start, Mina eventually starts understanding what is happening. Well, sort of. She understands Mareanie is NOT a lost child but a creature called Pokémon, it's now apparently attached to her, and there is a whole culture of training all the Pokémons and use them to battle and collect them all. These Pokémon live inside balls (w h a t) and eat berries. Or each other. It's bizarre, but Mina isn't one to judge.
What's bizarre is that she was brought to this place without an explanation, and basically now she is meant to just go out there and explore it - again, without any explanation. It's also bizarre that she has to walk for days on end to get to the next town! It has taken her over a week, and it sure doesn't help she did get distracted with cute pokémon mid-journey, but don't these people have public transportation?
She is finally at Violet City and she decides to rest her feet while Mareanie id still close to her, allowing Mina to pet them and feed them some of the food she managed to get along the way. ]
Hmm... making you fight seems pretty cruel . [ she pouts before her petting basically turns into a huge ] You are too cute to get hurt like that!! [ Mareanie replies by repeating its own name ] And I should name you, right? Can I name you? [ Mina decides to dig through her backpack, trying to find the guide again, and taking the chance to basically just take everything out ] I really need to find decent clothes, too- [ all of them are so boring ] Maybe I can find you some clothes as well? I wonder if pokémon wear them. [ Mina, no. ]

[Both the boy and the literal monkey on his back give Mina a confused glance.]

Yes- Hi. Hiiii!!! [ more waving. So much waving ] Is this your child? She... he? has been staring at me. [ and she doesn't know why. Mina looks at Mareanie again, still very unsure if this is really a kid or not but look.

Okay, maybe I was kinda getting off track, but you didn't need to jab me in the head.
So, um, back to what I was actually trying to say, I don't think they're a lost kid. If they're like Frederick here? They're supposed to be you Pokémon partner. I'm kinda fuzzy on the exact specifics right now, but there's a book in the bag the crazy lady gave us that explains things.
Violet City
In any case, her Eevee is sitting happily on her head between her pigtails, and she needs to rest her own feet. She happens to overhear Mina, though, and it sounds like she's in the same situation as her... at least, in the sense that they both woke up in a room that wasn't their own and got promptly shoved outside. ]
Finding more clothes would be nice...
[ May as well start conversation with someone else in this situation, right? ]

Something cute, with some prints... pink... and purple. [ she says, wishfully. She puts her hands together with a groan ] Why are there no leopard prints anywhere! [ probably because they don't know what a leopard is.
Mina sighs waving back at the other ] Just arrived, too?

Yeah... it's been rough, all of this traveling...
[ She's fairly certain she's going to need to find yet another place to shower and everything... but hey, the new experience isn't unwelcome... and sleeping outside went better than she thought it would. ]
...personally I'm more in favor of pinks and whites.
[ Sure, she can talk a little fashion. She does put a lot of priority on it, after all, even if she's not used to really talking to other girls about it. ]
