[Legosi remarks as matter-of-factly as you please before carefully petting the top of Amai's head with a fingertip. Her wings flutter again, faintly, but she doesn't do much more than lay there.]

It could work...though something like a damp towel for her to sit on may be better. I don't know if she would like being in a lot of water too much.

[That way the shed can soften so he can remove it gently with something like a q-tip.]

My hands are big...so I worry sometimes about handling her.
