[ Yuzu feels bad, she really does. She's clearly trying to bring up things that should be common knowledge... but nothing rings any bells. None of the names or terms are something she recognizes. ]

Sorry, I... I'm not sure what you're talking about? D-Do you mean 'Duelist' by Hero?

[ She doesn't think it's called anything different anywhere else, but... ]

[Oh...oh boy. Ochako looks more and more frazzled by the second, confused and fearful and now looking mildly panicked. How can someone not recognize UA High? Or the term hero. It just...doesn't make sense?? Ochako just cannot grasp the concept of there being alternate worlds.]

N-No...it's hero, just. Professional Hero. S-Superhero? Like All Might. I--... [Ochako hopes this girl would know about All Might, but she's not looking too hopeful anymore.] Maybe, um... Maybe we should keep looking around, th-there might be someone who can tell us more about what's going on, or what exactly happened.

E-Eh...?

[ Well great, things have just gotten way more complicated. Yuzu already deals with four dimensions back home, and now she has to deal with more!? ]

I-I'm sorry... but yeah, hopefully someone can explain things... all I know is that apparently this... [ She holds up the fluff ball, which earns her a small 'bui?' in response. ] is called a 'Pokemon'...?

[Ochako only knows of her own world, so...this is all a whole hecking lot to parse, and she's still not one hundred percent thinking that this isn't some sort of weird dream, or quirk-induced hallucination, or...SOMETHING. It's all too fantastical to be real. Even if...it feels real. Ochako doesn't know. Doesn't know what to think.]

Mm, that much I know already. Th-The woman who said she was m-my...my mama...said this world had a bunch of them. [Ochako smiles down at her little Cleffa, who meeps at her and cuddles close, sensing its trainer's distress, and trying to comfort her.] Ehehe...they are really, really cute. Yours too. Um, mine is called...um--

[Taking that opportunity, the small, pink, star-shaped Pokemon cries out, loudly: Cleffa!]

Yeah... though she called herself my mom as well, which is weird because... she's definitely not my mom.

[ On account of not actually having an existing mother, due to the fact that Yuzu quite literally just... appeared one day after an entire dimension was split in four. ]

O-Oh! Thanks! Yours really is adorable... [ As she says this, her Eevee starts to squirm in her arms. ] H-Hey, what are...

[ And in no time flat, it's suddenly climbed up out of her arms and directly onto her head, right in-between her pigtails. ]

E-Eh...?

[ Well, it looks comfortable and it's not actually that heavy, so... she supposes that it's fine. ]

[Ochako nods, and her expression darkens again. She's not exactly privy to Yuzu's thoughts, or the fact she doesn't have a mother that she knows of, but waking up to someone claiming they're a family member is extremely disorienting and very uncomfortable. Ochako herself is very, very close to her mother and father - they're the reason she became a hero in the first place, to save up enough money to give to them, so they could live a happy, carefree life from financial stress - so having someone else, totally different, claim to be her mother like that? Ochako rubs her arms a little, making a soft noise in her throat and looking away.

What she wouldn't give to make sure her real mama is okay...or to know what is even going on.

But, thankfully, Yuzu's Eevee has other plans than this melancholy mood they've set. It climbs up her shoulder and perches itself right on her head and Ochako finally, actually laughs. A real, honest laugh. She laughs and reaches up nd out to give the precious little puffball a scritch under its chin. Gosh, but these things really are adorable! Definitely one of the very few perks this weirdo place has...along with some friendly enough people - Yuzu herself being quite a kindly sort.]

Ne, don't mess up Yuzu-chan's hair now, alright? I bet it took her a long time to get her pigtails straight!

[ Her Eevee purrs as Ochako scratched under its chin, letting out a small and satisfied ‘buiiii...’ in response while its mass-of-fluff tail wags. Yuzu herself can’t help but laugh with Ochako. ]

Ahaha! It’s fine, I’ve got lots of practice doing them...

[ She says as she reaches up to scratch her Eevee behind the ears, earning more content purrs. A spoiled fluffball, that’s what’s on Yuzu’s head right now. ]

[Truly spoiled. These little critters are definitely going to be spoiled rotten by the two girls as they get to know them better. Hell, Ochako is already utterly smitten with her Cleffa, and as it meeps for some attention as well, she pulls back her hand from Eevee to give it a loving squeeze and cuddle.]

Yes, yes, you too... [Smiling, Ochako looks around. She was given a Town Map by her 'mom' or...said it was in an app on the weird cellphone-like device she was also given, so...] Let's all look around the town a little bit, first. I want to see if I can't find my friend, since I was wish her before I showed up here, She should hopefully be in the town somewhere...unless she arrived before me and headed out toward the east or west.

[They can probably ask around. Tsuyu definitely has a very unique look to her, and if Ochako mentions the girl's quirk, it should be easy to find her. Who else has a frog quirk? No one that Ochako knows, anyway!]

[ God, these two babies are going to get spoiled so much in the future and they know it. In any case, Ochako has the right idea. ]

Right, I should probably look for some of my friends as well...

[ It’d be nice to have one when she gets warped to another dimension so suddenly, after all. For once, at least. ]

[In all honesty, the vast majority of Pokémon that Ochako keeps, if not every single one of them, will be utterly spoiled rotten. Ochako will pamper those Pokémon more than she'll cater to her own needs, p-probably...ahem.]

Oh? Then we can ask to see if anyone's seen someone you may know, too!! I'm sure we'll find them eventually!! And, maybe--oh! That's right! [Ochako reaches into her back pocket and fishes out the Poke-Gear that 'mom' gave her.] That woman said this thing acts like a phone, but it also has communication features sort of like a social media thing...a PSS, she called it?

I wonder if I can figure it out... Maybe I could post there and make a call out...mmhh. Do I have to register an account? I wonder where--

[ In terms of spoiling their Pokemon... that makes two of them.

Well, with Yuzu's hands free now with her Eevee now resting happily on her head, she's able to take off her backpack and look into the stockpile of things their 'mom' had packed for them... including the Poke-Gear. Her Trainer ID is also inside the bag, but since she doesn't know what it is, she only takes out the Poke-Gear... which conveniently already has her name scanned onto it. ]

A phone, huh... It's almost like a duel disk... huh?

[ As she turns hers on, she's more than a little unnerved by the amount of her information (including a picture of herself that she doesn't remember taking). It has her name, date of birth, an 'ID number', a status that reads 'Trainer', and various other tidbits of information about her. ]

This... has a lot of my personal information on it...

[Well that's...very uncomfortable. Ochako peers over Yuzu's shoulder (sorry, Personal Space is not a concept this girl knows very well), looking at all the information very briefly, and flicks over her own Gear to try and navigate to the same place, frequently looking back to make sure their screens are the same. Once she gets to the right place, Ochako too is stunned and deeply unnerved to find the same information - and a picture she never took for her own "ID". That in and of itself isn't a huge deal - it's the same picture used for her Provisional Hero License, so they probably just copied and scanned it onto this new one - but all the information is...weird. It's weird and she's not quite sure how much she likes people knowing shit about her like this? Especially in her line of work as a hero, where keeping identities relatively on the downlow is pretty important...if one wishes to. Being a Pro Hero is akin to being a bit of a celebrity in her world, depending on status.

It's just another thing to question - another tick on the long list she has that just seems to keep growing and growing.]

Ah...m-me too. Not everything, but...it's enough. [Her age, date of birth, 'Trainer' whatever that means, a picture of her Cleffa, and some other information about her personally. Thankfully it keeps her quirk, and the specifics, out of the description, though.] Mmh...s-so long as this stuff if kept private, I-I don't mind it too much, but...it's really weird they know this much about me, a-and you, too.

[Usually 'civilians' are really looked at past being just civilians with quirks? Though Yuzu...isn't from her world, either. Maybe?? Ugh. Ochako's getting a headache.]

[ Honestly, it's dizzying how many questions are getting dumped on them without any answers. She supposes that, since she was an Action Duelist who did recently participate in the Arc League... as well as the Friendship Cup in the Synchro Dimension. It wouldn't be too hard to get most of this information just by looking at her profile, actually, since all of this information is required after all. ]

[ She'll make that clear. Probably best not to add more to the pile of things they need to stress out over... at least, not until they actually get some answers to some questions.

In any case, she fiddles around with the Poke-Gear a little more, not really minding Ochako's lack of personal space. There's only a few apps on it, one of which looking like a phone app... which she promptly checks out. ]

I think I found the phone part... [ Where she also sees an option to enter IDs into the currently-empty contact list. Well, she's mostly assuming how this works, but... ] Hm... do you mind if I see your ID?

[Ochako nods. Much the same, this sort of information on her isn't too difficult to acquire, but it is still very, very odd that it was...especially if this is a brand new world, like what she's starting to sort of piece together. It feels almost like they've been sucked into a video game, or some alternate dimension, or...or something. It's like an isekai, really, that's the closest thing Ochako can think of that makes any sort of sense in this situation.]

Huh? My ID? Oh, um...sure, wh--oh! [Oh, that actually makes sense, and makes Ochako smile when she puts two and two together. It'd be nice to have a contact number for Yuzu to put into her phone app here, so they could stay connected if their paths diverged at some point. Beaming, Ochako holds up her Gear and navigates to the phone app, ready to input Yuzu's right after.]

Yeah, can I add you to my contacts, Yuzu-chan?! I'd like to keep talking to you, even if we both manage to find our friends!

[ Honestly, it does seem a lot like an Isekai... though the way they arrived was a little strange. Still, they’ve gotta do what they can.

In any case, she puts in Ochako’s ID number, and as she thought, it works! ‘Ochako Uraraka’ appears in her contact list. ]

Alright, and here’s mine...

[ She switches back to her ID so that Ochako can do the same. ]

[Ochako grins, watching as her name lights up in Yuzu's contacts, giggling to herself at the way her name is presented on the screen. Aha, so they use the Americanized version, huh? Given name, then family name...interesting. After entering Yuzu's info into her gear, Ochako flicks over to the map function, having the app open for later. They're probably going to need it... Oh, and there's even a 'Places of Interest' function on there, with each city and town. Neat!!]

Thanks!! I just added you as well. Looking at the map, there's two exits to this town - one by water, and one towards an opposing walking path. However, there's also a Research Facility here that might be able to tell us a little more about this place. [Because 'Research Lab' definitely screams 'academics', so--] That's probably our best bet to see if anyone's seen or heard of any changes to this place...or what's really going on.

[ New friend, officially acquired! She can’t say she isn’t a little elated to have made a new friend. Before everything had happened back home, for reasons outside her control, she hadn’t exactly had the best reputation at school... so her friend group was pretty exclusive to only a few people for a while.

So making a new friend as always nice. ]

Right! I’ll also try and ask around and see if anybody knows anything... and I’ll try and figure out this thing as well.

[ Meaning the Poke-Gear. If it really did have some kind of network, then she could ask questions there as well. Though it would be nice if this ‘research lab’ provided some answers as well. ]

[Ochako is...well, she's not super crazy popular by any means. To be perfectly honest, she sees herself as being pretty damn plain, and has a relatively low view of herself in terms of confidence. Not abysmal, but certainly a little below the average most times. But! There's one thing that Ochako is, and it's extremely kind and friendly to nearly everyone she meets, within reason. She has a very personable attitude and is inviting and welcoming to nearly everyone.

It's nice to make new friends, and by god does Ochako really need one right now. New, old, whatever. She just needs that presence to feel anchored to the ground in such a new and unfamiliar place.]

Okay, we can probably walk while you do that!! I don't think it's a good idea to split up until we at least know a little more about this place, the people, and get a good enough scope of the area. Mmmh...I wonder if I should get a bird's eye view of the town? It'd certainly help, but I'm not sure how people would react if I used my quirk right about now in broad daylight...

[God forbid someone mistake her for a UFO or something and try to shoot her down. That'd be, uh...that'd be bad.]

[ I mean... everybody’s pretty quirky somehow, but... wow, the gap in world knowledge is only getting wider. Sheesh, she’s been through dimensions so many times now, but now it’s just getting weirder. ]

[Oh, that's right. Yuzu doesn't know about heroes, UA High, or even All Might. It's a no brainer she wouldn't know about quirks, either...i-if Ochako's hunch is right that they're not entirely from the same planet. She'd like to not think too deeply on that hunch being more and more possible, since it's only making her want to question things more and more, and spiral into that "what the heck is happening" hole, but--!! JUST GOTTA GO FOR IT! :) It'll all be fine. Totally fine.]

Well, a quirk is kind of like a superpower back where I'm from - or I guess the scientific term is called metahuman ability? Almost everyone is born with one, or manifests it at about five. Mine makes it so objects and people I touch with all five fingers float, cuz I remove their gravity! Let me show you.

[And she's going to take off her backpack, hold it in both of her hands gently, and sort of just...toss it up into the air and...

Watch it splat back to the ground. Um.]

...Eh? What--why didn't...?

A superpower...?

[ Well, she can't say she isn't intrigued. Still, superpowers... there definitely wasn't something like what Ochako just described in her world, but... oh, it didn't work? ]

Eh?

[ Ochako seems just as surprised. Judging by the way she was talking, she doesn't sound like she was making anything up... ]

[Ochako doesn't respond. She's far too focused on the fact that her quirk didn't activate that she sort of just...doesn't seem to really register anything or anyone right now. Reaching forward, she picks up the backpack again, with all five finger on both of her hands this time, and tries again. This time, she throws it up a little harder, a little higher...

And gets the same result. The pack simply arcs in the air slightly and crashes back down to the ground in a heap. This time, Ochako stares at it for a lot longer, then down at her hands, and pats her own cheeks. ...Nothing. Nothing at all.

And through the quiet, the building panic is clearly evident on the poor girl's face as she gets a little pale, and doesn't say a single word. Why? Why isn't her quirk working? What happened to it? It is gone?? Did someone or something take it? How?! How... How can she be a hero without a quirk?

She can't.

She can't.]

[ Yuzu can clearly see the panic on Ochako's face. If there's one thing she's certain of, it's that Ochako is telling the truth... and the fact that it isn't working is bad. ]

H-Hey! It's fine, I believe you! [ Wait, that's not the problem, is it? As someone without a quirk, as well as someone who's never heard of one before now, she's not sure what exactly is going through Ochako's head.

Well, she may not be sure, but she puts her hands on Ochako's shoulders to try and mentally ground her again. ]

I-I mean... take some deep breaths, okay?

[The sudden voice seems to bring her back down to Earth rather suddenly, and Ochako jolts and looks around wide-eyed. For a second there, she just...completely forgot Yuzu was even here, too focused on the fact that her quirk isn't working. She swallows down the tight feeling in her throat, chuckles a little nervously, putting on a smile that she knows probably doesn't seem as genuine as she tries to make it. Even little Cleffa seems to nuzzle against her legs a bit, sensing its Trainer's panic and try to calm her down. You're fooling no one, Ochako.]

Ah...eh. Ehehe!! S-Sorry, I...um. I-I guess my quirk doesn't want to work right now! That's kind of weird, a-and...never ha-happened to me before, but!! I-I'm sure if we head out to ask questions, i-it'll be explained or something! [She's rubbing at her arms, both in a nervous way to just...busy her hands, and also to try and activate her quirk on herself, in hopes that maybe it works on people, not objects. Works on herself, at the very least. No. It doesn't, and the awkward and nervous chuckle is tinged with a sob.] I'm fine, Yuzu-chan, d-don't worry, okay?

[ Yeah... she really isn't fooling anyone, least of all Yuzu. Once she hears that sob hidden in her attempt to sound calm, sound cheerful...

She's heard that kind of sob more than once before. She immediately hugs Ochako, wrapping her arms around the other girl. She may not understand what's going on or what Ochako is going through... but the fact is that it's hard on her.

So as long as that's true, she'll do her absolute best to comfort her. ]
