I don't mind showing you! It's pretty easy, once you've done it. Though it scan be a little surprising at first...

[Since you like, have to throw the ball AT a living, breathing creature. Instinct makes you sortof not want to do that.

When she asks to see the rest of his team, though...Izuku looks briefly sheepish as he glances down at his very cute Eevee and Buneary, both of whom are not very indicative of the other Pokemon he keeps.]

O-oh sure, just um...my team is kindof...a little lopsided? It's uh...you'll see what I mean.

[He pulls the other four balls off his belt, two in each hand, before he carefully tosses them up into the air nearby with enough space for everyone to come out. The balls pop open with their respective flashes of light to reveal quite the...different array of Pokemon.

First to appear is Thirteen, a Duskull who immediately covers his one eye with his sleeve-hands because THE SUN IS TOO BRIGHT...then immediately hovers over to bury himself against the side of Izuku's neck. Hawks the Dartrix and Mystery the Type:Null appear side by side, with the grass owl hooting and brushing his bangs from his eyes while Mystery stands there looking like a very startled hedge because Izuku doesn't usually let it out like this oh god are we battling OH GOD IT ISNT READY-

And last but not least, Kamui. The massive...MASSIVE shiny Tangrowth who bursts from her ball with a loud- if friendly- grumble and a shower of sparkles. It's pretty dramatic, just as much as the way she immediately lumbers over to wrap her arms around Izuku.]

Ka-h-Kamui- let me go-

[Ochako, hilariously enough, actually has a pretty good pitching arm... Even without her quirk to throw a ball into infinity (and beyond), she can throw pretty well! There's a good reason that at least one of her super moves is named after a baseball term...her father is an avid sports fan. She sort of just grew to know a few terms and plays through osmosis as she grew up, but never followed it mostly. Space was her side hobby...and still is.]

Ehehe, wouldn't even know what'd make a balanced team, to be perfectly hone--EEEH?!

[Ochako sucks in a breath the moment Duskull appears, and the pink in her cheeks drains away with the color in her face. Hell, she may resemble a ghost herself from how pale she gets within mere seconds, backpedaling so hard and so fast that her back hits the trunk of a tree nearly ten or so feet away. Just gonna...practice social distancing. No biggie.

One by one Deku's pokemon appear, but poor Ochako's focus is mostly on the Duskull because sweet Jesus CHRIST, what in the world is that?! I-It's like an inky blob of creepy void and...a-and the freaking bone mask and the one glowing red eye. How...why--?? Izuku, why do you have a hellspawn in your party, what curse did you invoke to release such a thing upon yourself, does Ochako need to call a priest? Does she need to yeet you into a bath of holy water? She will do it, my guy, my dude, my buddy chum pal-o.

From...a distance...

Cleffa, however, seems wholly unphased by any one of the many Pokemon that appear, and bounces over to greet each of them with a happy chirp and wave of her little arms. Hello there, new friends!!]

Eh...eheh...hah. I-I think I can see now, wh-wh-what you meant, De...D-Deku-kun. Ah. They're all, um. I--....I-I mean. [They're kinda cute? But she is undeniably terrified of the Pokemon that is named after her favorite Pro Hero, weep.]

[Ochako shrieking like that causes Izuku to jump so hard that he almost accidentally dislodges both Thirteen and Kamui at the same time, all of his Pokemon looking over with alarm. Mystery, bless it's heart, freezes up and immediately becomes rooted into the ground by its feet. It probably won't be going anywhere for a while...

It doesn't take Izuku long to realize what it is that Ochak is scared of given the fact her eyes haven't once left Thirteen, who is only just now peering out from Izuku's hair looking just as terrified as Ochako is. Hawks at least bothers to give Cleffa a proper greeting, patting the top of her head with one of his wings.]

O-oh, um...I know he looks kindof scary, but Thirteen is harmless, I promise! He's just a baby still, really...

[A baby who looks like they're about a half-step from bursting into tears, why is everyone looking at them like they did something wrong oh no]

[Oh jeez...Ochako feels everyone's eyes on her at once and she immediately turns red with a mix of shame and embarrassment. She really does feel bad about accidentally spooking everyone else, but mostly seems to shrink into herself because, honestly, what sort of hero gets scared by a few ghoulies? She's faced down scarier villains before, time and time again! Things that were actually a real threat to society!! Real danger.

And yet, her fear has her keeping an eye mostly on the ghost, still pale and a little clammy as she tries to approach and steady her racing heart. It's silly, Ochako knows how silly she's being, but she just can't help it!! It's not an easy fear to get over, especially when there's a ghost right there in front of her! It's like facing one's fears totally unprepared.

Cleffa coos at the pat to its head, hugging onto Hawk's feathers for a moment before it senses the distress in its trainer and hurriedly bounces over back to Ochako, meeping loudly and pressing itself affectionately against her legs and holding on tight. It's okay, there's nothing scary here!! She will protect you!]

Th...Thirteen? [Ochako blinks, kneeling down to pick up Cleffa and give her a tight hug, letting the Pokemon snuggle against her reassuringly. Gosh but these little guys are the best at being a form of comfort.] Like...l-like the Pro Hero?

[There's a tiny, barely there smile on her face. Gosh, Izuku, your nerdiness is showing again. But also--] Ehehe...I-I guess that does...s-sort of fit them. Kind of. Hrrm. Sorry Deku-kun, I...I-I'm really no good with ghosts. I didn't mean to bother you or your friends.

No, it's okay...hold on.

[He's realizing that both Ochako and Thirteen are terrified of each other to the point where keeping him out is going to do more harm than good; so, with that in mind, he'll take his pokeball in hand and carefully return the little ghost to it before reaffixing the ball to his belt for safekeeping.]

Y-yeah, just like the Pro Hero. Thirteen is nocturnal, so I usually keep him inside during the day anyway so he can rest. If you see any ruins marked on your map, or anything like a tower though you might want to stay away from them...usually places like that have a lot more ghost Pokemon than anything else.

[Meaning Ochako would be in for a Bad Time.]

But everything out on the routes is usually what you'd expect. Things like birds, bugs, and mammals.

I'm sorry...

[Ochako can't help it - she genuinely feels bad for her outburst, and most certainly shamed of herself. These creatures aren't really ghosts or monsters, they're just...kind of weird, bizarre animals. Mighty looks sort of like a bunny and a fox, and Mirko is absolutely a bunny. Kamui is like a big ol' heap of noodles, and clearly Hawks is an owl. More or less, they're just...animals. Cleffa is weird in that Ochako can't guess what she may be - maybe some kind of cat - but she likes them all.

It's such a stupid phobia to have and she knows it, her face slowly regaining color as her cheeks, nose, and the tips of her ears start to get pink.]

O-Oh...okay. I will. [Probably. There's always the chance she'll forget that word of advice, but Ochako does try to make a mental note. She's also stubborn enough to go there anyway, to try and challenge herself and her stupid phobia too, so...] Right...maybe not a bug, I-I don't think I can stomach them very well after what happened to Mic-sensei. That was a bit too much...

Um, b-but I never asked, Deku-kun, what are you doing here? And what about the others? You said Kirishima-kun and Bakugou-kun are here? Are there in the next town over, too?

You don't have to apologize. I'm sorry I didn't give you fair enough warning...I at least got to see the Pokemon he'd be through a screen before getting him for myself.

[Which is way different than seeing one in person!

But back to the matter at hand. Ochako probably is pretty confused about where everyone is, and what they're doing...]

We're traveling right now. Sometimes we go back through old routes to train or if there was something we needed that we forgot, so I was out here for training. Kacchan and Kirishima-kun are back in Goldenrod right now.

[Izuku rubs his cheek with a finger.]

It's a little hard to explain unless you've seen it for yourself, but the Pokemon Centers have these like...warp areas? If you've visited them in person, you can use them to go back to warps connecting cities you've been to before. It makes traveling back easier, but only if you've traveled there yourself first.

[That actually brings up another question Ochako has - something about a Pokemon...Dex?? Something about scanning their information and uploading it to some database that shows off what type they are, their height and weight, and other useful information. Kind of like a Monster Manual in all those old JRPGs she pirates plays on her laptop sometimes. Where does she get one? Or is it a part of the Gear? Maybe there's an app somewhere for it?

Something else to ask later...because there's way more information being loaded onto Ochako's shoulders, and she hums a little, massaging her temples. Jeez, this place needs a fucking handbook, for sure.]

Goldenrod was that big city on the map, right? Kind of like the capitol or something...that's what it felt like. Mmh, but I guess being able to warp to places is kind of cool... [Warp tech is highly advanced, and Ochako purses her lips a little bit. It kind of gives her pause - warp quirks aren't uncommon, but pretty rare still. Making that into technology capable of doing the same is just...wild.] Guess I'm kind of stuck behind you all though, huh? B-But it's fine!! Ehehe, you better be ready for when I catch up!!

[Ochako huffs, putting on a brave face and pinwheeling her arm like she's about to rocket into the sky or something. Gotta!! Psyche herself up!!!!]

I'm gonna catch a billion cute animals and make 'em all tough and then I'm gonna race after you all! I won't be left behind for long, Deku-kun!! So show me how to get one for myself! [No more worrying. Time to take the first step forward.]

Oh, don't worry...I'm still way behind the others, too. I don't have nearly as many Pokemon, and Kacchan's are all super tough compared to mine. When we battled last, only one of mine could stand up to his and I still lost...

[But he's getting stronger! Slowly...]

I'd love to battle with you once you're ready, though! It'd be fun.

[And he thinks their Pokemon would enjoy it, too. It's literally what they live for, after all.

BUT RIGHT, catching Pokemon! That part is easy enough, even if Izuku was fucking terrible at it at first.]

You have some empty pokeballs in your bag with you, right? You should have about five or so to start with.

Eh...I'm not surprised Bakugou-kun has a lot, and they're super strong. [Number one is literally everything, huh? He really can't quit, even in another world. Ochako sighs, shaking her head with a tiny smile. But it's good to know she's not too far behind the others, and that with some training and determination, she can catch up to them at some point.] Mm, I think I'd like that, too, but um...m-maybe not for a while. I-I don't know how well I can take making my cutiepie fight too much.

[Cleffa blinks up at Ochako, waving her arms and meeping loudly. She's strong!! She can fight!!! Ochako giggles, patting the tiny, pink star-like Pokemon on the head before addressing Izuku again with a nod of her head. Man, she's...kind of nervous? Nervous to get this wrong, because...Ochako still has her doubts all this is even real. That she'll go to bed in this world and wake up again in her dorm room at UA. It really is just that bizarre, that fantastical...but hell, she's made it this far without waking up so...maybe?]

Mm, I have them here. These things, right? [Ochako removes the balls from her bag, holding three in one hand and two in the other.] I have another one, but I think that's Cleffa-chan's? But she really doesn't like going into it...um. Actually. Deku-kun, i-it's okay for them to be in them, right? I-I mean...it's not like they're confined in there uncomfortably or anything, right?

[Since her Pokemon puts up such a stink about it, and is already clinging to Ochako's leg and making whiny noises at the mere mention.]

Mmhm.

[Looks like all of her items are still present and accounted for, which is going to make the difference between a pleasant and very frustrating trek to the next available town. Ochako has all the same questions Izuku had when he first got here, too, which he's more than happy to answer as he rubs the top of Mighty's head for emphasis.]

So, Mighty here doesn't like being in his Pokeball, but sometimes I'll have to put him in it if I need to get somewhere in an emergency and he can't be out for whatever reason. Most of my others are okay with it at any time, but even if your Pokemon likes being out for one reason or another, being inside them doesn't hurt them at all. I think it's just a preference thing, mostly.

[Some Pokemon LOVE it, some don't care one way or another, and some prefer being out in the open. It's just a matter of figuring out which your Pokemon is specifically.]

Some Pokemon can get really big and can't actually fit indoors, so having them be able to go into their Pokeballs makes traveling with them a lot easier.

[floatsaway]

[Ochako hangs onto every word Deku says, like usual. Not simple because it is Deku, but because she needs to know this. She has to memorize it all, and he's just about the best source of information she has right now. It's honestly a small blessing and a miracle that they found one another.]

Mm, o-okay. That does make sense, I guess. It's really weird how they can all even go inside these things... I still don't really get it, but I guess it's sort of like--...ah. Mm...nevermind.

[Her brows furrow together for a minute, and Ochako scowls at the ground. It's like that one man's quirk - from the League. Mr. Compress. Ochako bites her lower lip, then shakes her head. Don't...want to think about someone like that right now. Nope. This is definitely not anything having to do with the League of Villains right now. Don't think about it. Don't worry about it.]

What else should I know about, Deku-kun? Ehehe, this feels sort of like studying for a big test or something.
