Yes, they listen to it. It’s quite useful, but do keep in mind that it’s not usually the easiest job. Sometimes the pokemon can be quite unruly even under our command.

Catching a new pokemon is another matter entirely, however it’s not as daunting as it sounds. I could provide an explanation, if you so need one. Astrals knows I haven’t been given one myself when I arrived.

No, I don’t. I tend to ask them if they’d like to join me, after all. But it is common here to train them to have them fight for you, given that weaponry is banned.

You cannot. Unfortunately for most, we are banned from all weaponry, and will be thrown into prison if we attempt to do so. It seems the farthest we’re allowed to go is wooden weaponry.
