[ Luisa is paying attention, honest, it's just they're...so cute? She doesn't always get to indulge that side of her, but she has such a soft spot for adorable things, and even the little attitude from the catlike one - directly into her mind which is weird but okay - doesn't change the fact that she just wants to pick them up and hug them. ]

Wow...that's amazing. They're able to learn all that? Writing and sign language?

[His noibat... Charming. Rhea wears a smile, once again taking some time to appreciate him. She is surrounded by those creatures of large and smaller sizes and many of them remain foreign in name, even if she can say she has seen them before.

When Sandalphon provides her a more proper introduction, she dips her head in both respect and acknowledgement before she settles a hand along her collar.]

I am Lady Rhea.

[Archbishop, she leaves out. It is highly unlikely that anyone would know or care what the Church of Seiros is here. She is not arrogant enough to believe her position holds any weight here. But to simply call her 'Rhea' feels altogether too informal.]

It is a pleasure to meet you, Sandalphon. I may have many more questions for you. I hope you will not tire of them quickly.

Hey! [ With a quick jog over, she sweeps Mirabel up into a hug.

Which...it probably still hurts, but Mirabel might notice that it's not quite as strong as it could be. ]

[She finds no reason to argue or otherwise counter his sharp response. It is frank, at the very least. She has her own reasons for keeping her information to herself. Much of it, perhaps, is for the sake of maintaining her own restraint. Her other reasons for doing so...

Well. Unnecessary to dive into considering that Dimitri is willing to let it pass for now. That will not work a second time, she suspects. Although she is the archbishop, there will come a time, a day, in which Dimitri and the others will demand answers of her and she will need to have ready a worthy explanation. She cannot simply get away with having none to provide.]

It is very unlike our home. [She agrees with him, a gentle nod provided in his direction.] I am able to make my way as it is necessary, though it seems many have determined that I stand out. I am enjoying travelling, however. That was not something I could have done in Fódlan.

[Not entirely true. She could have, perhaps, if she'd genuinely wanted to. If she'd thought it was safe to do so. If she could have done so without escort.]

[ Larvitar studies the Vulpix for a moment, and seems to be judging the fox with dark, serious eyes. Then it turns away with something of a huff, but Luisa gently nudges it with her foot. ]

Hey, be nice. [ It gives a protesting sound, and Luisa shakes her head a little. ] Sorry. He doesn't seem to really like strangers that much, but he's not so bad once you get to know him.

[ he wonders what's with the title of lady, but he's accustomed to it. he can't help but think about the elemental primarchs, however. their wings may be his, but they never did make him stop calling them ladies and lords. ]

The pleasure is mine, Lady Rhea. [ he chuckles lightly. ] I doubt I will. I have nothing but time. Any other question come to mind?

Pokemon are just as sentient as anyone here. [Thace chuckles.] I'm fairly certain some of them enjoy the language barrier, but there is always a way to communicate with a little effort on our parts.

Vonir is the only one of my family that has shown interest in writing, but most have happily learned to read and can type given motivation, and everyone has learned sign for Acxa's sake if not mine.

[Vonir is currently bouncing around chattering happily. Asking Larvitar's opinions on his trainer and the journey ahead and if he has a name already.

Athvrix is poking around at everybody's surface thoughts, mostly just because she can.]

No... It is not. That is something I can understand well.

[Even if he had just been the prince of a kingdom, the one who would be its ruler one day, Dimitri knows that he never would have been allowed to wander so freely. That had only become more true with him being the last remaining holder of the Blaiddyd Crest, with his parents having been slaughtered like pigs in the mud. Who could let him go out on his own, lest the same fate befall him?]

[Funny, how that sort of thing had not mattered in the end - whether he went off on his own, or stayed in the Kingdom around those he could apparently trust.]

[Well... It was not as though he trusted most of the people who hung around close to Fhirdiad Castle anyway.]

Still... The woman whose home you awoke in, surely she must have given you a chance of clothing? It may very well not be what you are used to, Lady Rhea, but hopefully it should be serviceable clothing..

[Lorenz is nodding along. No different than some hounds, really. Ensure they get adequate exercise and stimulation and they should be just fine. Especially when some of these creatures are clearly not meant for fighting in any way.]

Troublesome, this one. I'm going to have to keep a close eye on it.

[It is a tight squeeze, but Mirabel knows her sister's hugs pretty well. And this one doesn't feel as particularly bone-crushing like it normally does.]

Yep. I'm fine! Luisa, do you know what's going on?

[Felix looks a little disappointed that opera isn't her thing, but he nods in recognition - he knows what rock and roll is thanks to Greg.]

I don't recognize you from the network. Did you arrive recently? I know quite a few musicians here. I'm certain any of them would be glad to perform with you.

Just like the Caterpie, Adam was minding his own business with his Phantump. Until he happened to overhear what was being said. Stopping, he turned to stare.

"Excuse me?" he said, raising his voice just enough to be heard from where he was standing. "I don't think- that doesn't sound like a very good idea."

He wasn't sure what Pokemon ate, exactly, but he didn't think it was other Pokemon. He could have been wrong about that, seeing as how new he still was, but... So far, his Phantump seemed to enjoy berries and other treats that were definitely not meat-based.

[It is nice that he plays along. Rhea, in truth, would not be wholly surprised if he chose to drop the title. After all, she's no 'Lady' here in this world either. Either way, it leaves him and her smile grows, just a tad.

He invites her to ask of him more and she chooses to accept that. But what she follows up with is not a terribly profound one.]

Yes. [She begins before she gestures to his noibat.] Does your companion have a name?

Ichigo had been baby talking to his Vulpix, the little thing tucked in his apron like it was a baby carrier. He stopped short when he saw the figure, blinking a little. There were tufts of blue sticking out, and that voice was all too familiar. "...Grimmjow? What the fuck are you doing here?"

Yes, I suspect you very much do understand.

[A prince, after all. Regardless of Rhea's position in the Church of Seiros, she is no princess. No queen. And yet, this is something they can have in common. She wonders, for just some moments, if she had been more inclined to speak of her wants five years prior and then some, if she would have been able to form a better relationship with these students. She feels as if she is only just now getting an opportunity to know them.

...More than official documentation, that is.]

It was offered to me, yes. [Rhea nods with a small smile.] I am afraid that I am partial to my wear. Perhaps in time that will change. For now, however, I find comfort in the things that are familiar.

[Yes. She believes she can get away with allowing such truths to be free of her. Perhaps such things will 'humanise' her.]

Grimmjow pauses mid-sentence, looking over his shoulder at Adam. After a few seconds, he furrows his brow. "How the fuck are you able to see me?" he demanded, even as he was nudging Cubone in the direction of the Caterpie.

Grimmjow tugged at some webbing over his face, clearing both eyes so he could squint at Ichigo. Was that... yeah. That was Ichigo. "What the fuck did you do, getting us dumped here?" he demanded, as if it were all Ichigo's fault, and stormed over. "And where the fuck did my mask go? And my hole!" His tattoo was still intact, but that and the hair were about it.

[ She nods a little. ] That's still awesome, though. [ It does make sense too. Even the animals back home could communicate, even if Antonio was the only one who could understand them.

The Larvitar doesn't really seem too inclined to chat, but if Vonir continues trying to get answers from him he eventually does start responding. He likes his trainer well enough, and wants to be strong enough to protect her, but he doesn't have a name quite yet. ]

[ Mirabel would also definitely notice Luisa doesn't entirely lift her off the ground either. With one final squeeze she'll take a step back. ]

Not a clue! I just woke up in that house with the weird lady calling herself mom, and she was saying something about going on a journey and "pokey"-mon? [ Bending down, she scoops up the Larvitar by her feet and holds it up for Mirabel to see. ] And I've got this thing following me around everywhere.

[ The Larvitar gives a sound of protest, not liking being called a "thing". ]

"Did Urahara shove you in a gigai or something? And what are you covered in?" The little pokemon holding the berry was adorable, and somewhat familiar. "I'm glad you survived your fight with the Quincy, though."

[nonmagical]

Oh yeah, she told me the same thing! And then I have… well, a sheep?

[The Wooloo is idly grazing on some grass.]

I don’t understand this at all-!

...oh wow, yours is really cute. [ Hang on, focus. ] Yeah, I don't really get any of this. And I haven't heard from any of the others either. I don't know if any of them are here.

[ Because if they were here, they surely would have heard from someone by now...right? ]

"Hat'n'Clogs didn't do shit," Grimmjow replied with a huff. "One minute I'm in Hueco Mundo, about to kick the ass of some bitchy little Quincies tryin' to take over the place, and next thing I know I'm gettin' shoved outta some weird woman's house with this useless Fraccion," he jerked his thumb at Cubone, who held his berry aloft to show it off with a cheerful "Bone!"

Grimmjow glowered at it. "Yeah, well, maybe you shoulda hit the stupid worms with it instead'a lettin' them spit all over me." He yanked off another chunk of the string and dropped it on Cubone's head, but the Pokemon scampered out of the way, then pounced on the string like it was a toy.

[Being used to stressful situations, Tooru does his best to make himself appear not even remotely close to a threat. Being a threat belongs in volleyball matches or turning his sharp tongue against those that deserve it.

So far, this boy doesn't, judging by his reactions.]

You gonna be alright?

I was looking for a Pokémon called Zorua, they're said to be able to look like other things and Pokémon. It's a little black fox with red fur on its head.

[ the noibat looks up when she mentions him, trilling curiously. sandalphon glances down with a small smile. ]

This little thing? His species is a Noibat, but I've given him the name Sariel. [ a breathy laugh. ] I've only given him the name due to the resemblance he has to a friend of mine.
