[Camilla smiles, and nods.]

[Ah... she forgot something important.]

Oh my, I forgot to introduce myself! Camilla, at your service.

[Well, it is a good point. Bucciarati nods, before pulling out Bettina's ball and recalling the Shuppet.]

Irrepressible, and a new member of my team besides, so I haven't gotten the chance to get to know her very well yet. The others tend to be somewhat more sedate.

[A glance back at the Slowpoke, who's still fishing without a care in the world. Is he even aware his trainer has gotten up from where he was sitting? ... It's unclear.]

... Some more so than others.

[Following the other trainer's gaze to the Slowpoke, Lilith laughs softly.]

There does seem to be quite a range of dispositions among them, doesn't there? Did you catch that Slowpoke in Azalea Town, by any chance?

[The well just outside town certainly seemed like a popular spot for them, and while Lilith is a historian first and foremost, she's got some naturalist to her as well. She's curious about species distribution.]

Tea sounds wonderful, thank you.

[He's going to crouch down and... very carefully pick up the Mimikyu, who lets out a delighted squeak and winds its shadowy appendages around Bucciarati's neck, much like a child would.]

Bruno Bucciarati, pleased to meet you. The Shuppet is named Bettina and... Well, I still have to name this one.

[Indicating the Mimikyu in his arms.]

I didn't. Teodoro there was the one given to me upon my arrival.

[He's clearly fond.]

I've considered going back and catching another--or one of the ones that looked a bit different, though. I believe they're referred to as Galarian Slowpokes?

[Narancia, meanwhile, is nearby looking for a Pokémon to catch when Bettina approaches him.]

Whoa, where'd you come from? [He's surprised, but is certainly taking the presence of the Ghost type better than his Skarmory, Mr. Smith, is at the moment. Said Skarmory is currently standing nearby, watching the Shuppet closely as if waiting for the chance to chase it off.]

Hey, easy there Mr. Smith! [Mr. Smith does not take it easy, instead continuing to stare at the Shuppet.]

[She nods in understanding at the explanation, and then her face lights up at the mention of a Galarian form.]

Yes, one of the regional variants! It makes me wonder what Galar is like to cause adaptive evolution in a few different Pokemon breeds... But I haven't been able to get a straight answer on where it is, even just in relation to Johto.

Lance, Pidge, Allura, Keith... [He can't stop smiling, while he says it. Because it's good to see Hunk. It's really good.] We missed you, buddy.

[Which is probably going to need more explanation, too. A lot more explanation. Since it's been so long for them. Probably only ... well. Two weeks. For Hunk.] I can explain once we get this taken care of for you. Is the little guy yours?

[He'll just let Hunk have a seat. If he's been hiking that long, it's the least he can do. Especially while Nebula - his Umbreon - goes to sniff out the Geodude.]

[Bettina, for her part, doesn't seem terribly bothered by Mr. Smith, circling Narancia with curiosity. She ducks behind Narancia, giggling, as her trainer approaches.

Her trainer who happens to be stopping in his tracks when he sees who his Shuppet has decided to hassle.]

Narancia...!

[Well. Someone looks like he just saw a ghost. And, y'know, not just the one that's now peeking from over Narancia's shoulder.]

It's curious, isn't it? I haven't been able to find a map that shows more than just Johto and Kanto...

[What if they want to know what the world at large looks like!!]

It is curious! It seems like Johto and Kanto are somewhat isolated, but clearly it wasn't always that way, or the variants wouldn't be here to begin with...

[Lilith is no conspiracy theorist-- Or so she'd say, but the truth is she got roped along in enough of her sister's childhood investigations that it'd be easy for her to come up with some ideas as to why this is. However, she's also someone who values manners, and she realizes now she's forgotten hers so far.]

[And Bucciarati looks at least somewhat sheepish as he realizes he's neglected to introduce himself as well.

Or, well, the thought hadn't really occurred to him until just now. Oops.]

Of course... Bruno Bucciarati, pleased to make your acquaintance.

[Narancia looks up when Bruno says his name.

He freezes.

And then he runs over to hug Bruno.]

You're here?! When did you end up here? [He hasn't seen anyone from home in months, so he's very happy to see Bruno now.

Mr. Smith, in the meantime, continues to watch the Shuppet.]

[Honestly, the hug's not exactly unexpected, and he returns it readily--he hadn't expected to see anyone from home, frankly.

(If his hug is, perhaps, just a bit tighter than Narancia might expect... Shhh. Don't worry too much about that.)

Bettina watches on in confusion for a bit before giving what's probably the Shuppet equivalent of a shrug and floating over to Mr. Smith, just to investigate the Skarmory for herself.]

I just got here a couple of weeks ago. [Give or take a few days, but he hasn't really been keeping on top of those as strictly as he might have before.] How long have you...?

A few weeks ago? [So he's still new here. Narancia counts up on his fingers how long he's been here, apparently having not kept track of how many months its been for him.] I've been here for seven months now.

[Mr. Smith gives a brief squawk as Bettina approaches again, drawing Narancia's attention to what's happening with the two Pokémon.]

Hey, Mr. Smith, over here! [The Skarmory gives Bettina one last glance before hop-walking over to Narancia. Narancia gives the bird an affectionate pat before returning his attention to Bruno.] This is my starter, Mr. Smith!

... It's Levi Ackerman. Maybe you should just leave a trail and let it come to you?

[Not that Levi had much experience dealing with animals. At best he dealt with horses or birds with broken wings that children brought him. Dealing with Togepi was a huge learning process for him. Horses can be skittish so often luring them with sugar cubes would help.]

What are poffins?

[Ah... she hears the unspoken thoughts and rests a hand on his shoulder.]

It isn't perfect, no, but it is a welcome respite while we have it, and the idea that we don't need to worry about our timelines being corrupted or the war continuing in our absence does help.

[At least that's how she sees it. But then Allura smiles as Hunk brings Shay out.]

Oh how cute! I actually received a Nidorina from a friend of mine, her name is Nikki. Once we get to a PC, I can show her to you. She is... a bit feisty, though. [VERY feisty, considering she's a high-level "traded" Pokémon and already had a fierce temperament before coming into Allura's care.] I'm honestly surprised yours is so calm.

[Exploring the Burned Tower is never a terribly good idea. Sure, Doppio can appreciate its value as a historical monument to an extent, but it's old and dilapidated and, though he knows from experience that nothing in this world will kill you, sprained ankles are not off-limits. Which he also knows from experience. But the Legendary Seekers really wanted him to investigate these rumours of an Entei sighting, and even though, as far as he can tell, odds are it's just an Ursaring that got lost or something, there's a certain level of compliance that's necessary to maintaining his cover, so here he is.

There are two things Doppio doesn't expect.

To begin with, he's not expecting anybody else to be here at the same time as him - though that may come from disbelief that people really come here voluntarily, rather than genuine surprise. What's wholly and truly unexpected is who he finds here.

Bruno Bucciarati... It's hard not to think of what he'd been doing immediately before he woke up in this world. Flying on a plane to stop him and his team from acting on whatever gave them that unexpected second wind after Sardinia - or, rather, to rein in Cioccolata and Secco after they were done handling the issue and before they got carried away.

By all accounts, while they're here, time does not progress in their worlds. And yet, seeing Bucciarati is enough to give him an odd sense of urgency, to raise his guard in a way that somehow goes beyond what this world has accustomed him to - and make no mistake, it's rare for him to fully let his guard down around most people all the same. Bruno Bucciarati is a sudden reminder that, after the Boss has taken over Team Rocket and found a way home, they will still have a major threat to deal with.

Unfortunately, the Wobbuffet he's brought with him didn't get the memo, because it responds to the nervous little Shuppet's agitation with a guarded, but nevertheless loud "Woooooooobb?"]

Ah!

[So much for keeping his distance and observing... At least Bucciarati shouldn't know who he is. But if the Boss calls him with instructions, he'll have to be discreet...]

Hunk, no man. It doesn't happen at all. Unclench a little. It's not bad here at all.

[He thinks. He hasn't actually asked anybody if they showed up post-death yet which would be a good idea before opening his fat trap.

It would just be better if he stopped talking about weird shit knowing how easy it is to rile Hunk up, but when has Lance ever did the smart thing?]

Yeah, I did. Lifting Pokeballs paid off.

[Lance barely lets the mild compliment leave Hunk's mouth before he's flexing his arms and puffing his chest out. Please. He's still so pathetic with the peacocking.

But that ring, right? Lance wiggles his left hand a with a stupid grin on his face.]

Oh, this? Blame Pidge. If she wanted us to elope, then I wanted to at least get a ring out of the deal.

[He says ever so casually as if he's discussing the weather and not the fact he's married to the one person no one ever expected him to be. Somehow being Mr. McClain-Holt for the last couple years is just what he is now.]

Seven months...

[Even if he's been made aware by now about the nature of this world and time, it still catches him off-guard. His train of thought is interrupted when Mr. Smith squawks and he looks over, meeting the Shuppet's gaze briefly as she tries to look as innocent as possible. He arches an eyebrow at Bettina, but is quickly distracted as Narancia calls the Skarmory over.]

Looks like you've taken care of him well. [He reaches over to pat Mr. Smith as well, but pauses, as if to ask permission from the Skarmory.

It's at this point that the Slowpoke, having been left by the waterside to fish as his trainer chased down the wayward Shuppet, finally moseys over. Bucciarati regards the Slowpoke with an amused noise.]

This one is mine, Teodoro.

((would you be down for something some time after Hunk's bumped into someone already? like maybe someone's already gone and told Pidge that Hunk is around so she goes out to find him?? :D))

[It honestly hadn't occurred to Bucciarati that anyone else could and would be here.

It makes sense that he wouldn't be the only one who'd disregard any warning to keep out, but the Wobbuffet's noise still catches both him and the Shuppet off-guard. Bettina lets out something between a startled shriek and an annoyed hiss, clearly ready to go on the attack. Bucciarati lifts a hand, indicating for the small Ghost-type to stay put.]

Who's there?

[The Mimikyu that's still at his feet lets out a squeak in greeting.]

Well, she does get grumpy sometimes. She just doesn't seem bothered to do much about it.

[He picks Shay up under her little Nidoran arms and holds her out in front of him, towards Allura, and after a little gentle shake as if she were a floppy ragdoll (nothing that would hurt her) Shay slowly wakes up and stretches in midair where she's being held. Then smacks her lips as she starts absorbing her location, eyes heavy-lidded.]

But, sure. I mean, let me go tell the people I was with I'm gonna go on with you for a little bit. I'll catch up to them later.

[He puts Shay under his arm, carrying her like a basketball. Her little limbs dangle and she 'Nido's a bit, wondering where they currently are.]

[Yeah, that's totally fine!]

[He does that. Just a little dotted line of snacks for the Geodude to follow it when it takes a notion. A pair of too-mad looking eyes peer out from the dark, even if it's not actually mad. Just a pokemon version of a resting grumpy expression.]

They're little baked snacks for pokemon. Some of the cafes had them.

[He keeps his voice quiet so he doesn't scare Charlie, not wanting to rais it again and alarm him.]

I learned to back them so I could feed mine whenever they wanted one. But uh... they don't last long [Hunk is a good cook, and in this case it's worked against him. At least Levi's lure idea seems to be working, though? As a little rocky hand stretches and reaches.]
