Bruno Bucciarati | JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
[Well. That was disorienting. For a number of reasons, least among them being the strange woman claiming to be his mother. He politely played along, too stunned to really do anything else, up until he was shuffled out the door.
Goodness. That sure just happened, didn't it?
... Well, he supposes now's a good a time as any to take stock of what he has on him. It's... not ideal, he has to admit, but he can make it work. Hopefully. Well, he'll figure it out as he goes. He does take a moment to look over the PokéGear, but that's set aside for further investigation later.
And, of course, the last step is meeting the Pokémon he's been given. Once he figures out how to let it out, it's...
Well.
It takes a full ten seconds for the Slowpoke to realize its surroundings have changed at all, and it eventually looks up at Bucciarati with a quizzical "......... slow?"
Hm.]
... Let's get out of the middle of the street for now, why don't we?
[The Slowpoke does not move. This... this could take a while.]
[B] Gone Fishin'
[The good news is, it doesn't take very long to settle in! This place is... peaceful. It's nice. There hasn't been so much of a routine to settle into, not really, but that suits Bucciarati just fine.
Today, he's fishing--just at the National Park. It's a rather enjoyable spot. So yeah, there he is with his fishing rod, his Slowpoke by the water's edge has its tail dangling in the water. A recently acquired Shuppet lingers by his side, though it seems to be getting a little... restless. After just a few minutes too long, it'll dart off towards the nearest passerby to hassle them.]
Ah-- Bettina!
[Sorry for the sudden ghost-type all up in your space, passerby.]
[C] Oh No,
[Exploring the Burned Tower seemed like a great idea at the time.
In hindsight, it may not have been the best idea.
His Shuppet has been uneasy since they stepped foot inside, and not terribly thrilled to be here in general. Doubly so since the pair of them have been followed. By a very persistent Mimikyu. After a while, Bucciarati catches the Disguise Pokémon just to put an end to the following.
He's since let the Mimikyu out again for now.]
Alright... let's see what the PokéDex has to say about you...
["A gust of wind revealed what hides under this Pokémon's rag to a passing Trainer, who went home and died painfully that very night."
... Oh. Oh, he doesn't like that at all.
So anyone who also happens to be exploring the Burned Tower might come across an agitated Shuppet, an alarmed Bucciarati who's looking between his Gear and the Mimikyu in front of him, who's merely squeaking in confusion.]
C
Oh well.
She almost screams when she spots what looks like a man and a cute little Pokémon in front of him. She hadn't been looking in front of her at all.
The man seems a bit... Confused? Maybe? She better help calm down the little ghost though.]
Hi little ghost, here, play with my Cutie.
[A Flabébé that was sitting on top of her head happily coos and goes to the Shuppet.]
Now, mister, sir, what has your little friend so agitated?
no subject
He lowers his Gear, considering tucking it away, but decides against it. But it probably is for the better he doesn't look at that 'dex entry too much more for now.]
Bettina isn't terribly fond of being followed, as this one-- [Gesturing to the newly-caught Mimikyu.] --was doing.
[One of the Mimikyu's shadowy arms emerges from under its disguise to wave at Camilla.]
no subject
[She waves at the Mimikyu and chuckles.]
You need to make sure to give it a proper talk!
no subject
The Mimikyu seems like it's nothing like-- well, likely best to not entertain that train of thought further.]
That's the intent, at least. Though... perhaps it's best saved for a more ideal setting than this.
no subject
Would you like to have a cup of tea outside with me?
[Ah... she forgot something important.]
Oh my, I forgot to introduce myself! Camilla, at your service.
no subject
[He's going to crouch down and... very carefully pick up the Mimikyu, who lets out a delighted squeak and winds its shadowy appendages around Bucciarati's neck, much like a child would.]
Bruno Bucciarati, pleased to meet you. The Shuppet is named Bettina and... Well, I still have to name this one.
[Indicating the Mimikyu in his arms.]
B
And in all truth, it's only a matter of seconds before Shuppet's antics take it from "bearable inconvenience" to "distracting nuisance" and Lilith has had enough. She fixes the Pokemon with a stern look, but tries to keep her voice level.]
Alright, that's enough of that. Back to your trainer, now.
[If there's one thing being an older sister taught her over her childhood years, it's that troublemakers thrive off knowing they got a rise out of you.]
no subject
Sorry about her. I should've realized she'd get bored like that. She wasn't too much of a bother, was she?
no subject
You don't need to worry too much. Some Pokemon are simply-- Irrepressible. [She could leave it there, but is unable to help adding:] Although keeping her in her Pokeball in such a large and busy area might be a smart move.
no subject
Irrepressible, and a new member of my team besides, so I haven't gotten the chance to get to know her very well yet. The others tend to be somewhat more sedate.
[A glance back at the Slowpoke, who's still fishing without a care in the world. Is he even aware his trainer has gotten up from where he was sitting? ... It's unclear.]
... Some more so than others.
no subject
There does seem to be quite a range of dispositions among them, doesn't there? Did you catch that Slowpoke in Azalea Town, by any chance?
[The well just outside town certainly seemed like a popular spot for them, and while Lilith is a historian first and foremost, she's got some naturalist to her as well. She's curious about species distribution.]

B!
Whoa, where'd you come from? [He's surprised, but is certainly taking the presence of the Ghost type better than his Skarmory, Mr. Smith, is at the moment. Said Skarmory is currently standing nearby, watching the Shuppet closely as if waiting for the chance to chase it off.]
Hey, easy there Mr. Smith! [Mr. Smith does not take it easy, instead continuing to stare at the Shuppet.]
no subject
Her trainer who happens to be stopping in his tracks when he sees who his Shuppet has decided to hassle.]
Narancia...!
[Well. Someone looks like he just saw a ghost. And, y'know, not just the one that's now peeking from over Narancia's shoulder.]
no subject
He freezes.
And then he runs over to hug Bruno.]
You're here?! When did you end up here? [He hasn't seen anyone from home in months, so he's very happy to see Bruno now.
Mr. Smith, in the meantime, continues to watch the Shuppet.]
no subject
(If his hug is, perhaps, just a bit tighter than Narancia might expect... Shhh. Don't worry too much about that.)
Bettina watches on in confusion for a bit before giving what's probably the Shuppet equivalent of a shrug and floating over to Mr. Smith, just to investigate the Skarmory for herself.]
I just got here a couple of weeks ago. [Give or take a few days, but he hasn't really been keeping on top of those as strictly as he might have before.] How long have you...?
no subject
[Mr. Smith gives a brief squawk as Bettina approaches again, drawing Narancia's attention to what's happening with the two Pokémon.]
Hey, Mr. Smith, over here! [The Skarmory gives Bettina one last glance before hop-walking over to Narancia. Narancia gives the bird an affectionate pat before returning his attention to Bruno.] This is my starter, Mr. Smith!
(no subject)
C
There are two things Doppio doesn't expect.
To begin with, he's not expecting anybody else to be here at the same time as him - though that may come from disbelief that people really come here voluntarily, rather than genuine surprise. What's wholly and truly unexpected is who he finds here.
Bruno Bucciarati... It's hard not to think of what he'd been doing immediately before he woke up in this world. Flying on a plane to stop him and his team from acting on whatever gave them that unexpected second wind after Sardinia - or, rather, to rein in Cioccolata and Secco after they were done handling the issue and before they got carried away.
By all accounts, while they're here, time does not progress in their worlds. And yet, seeing Bucciarati is enough to give him an odd sense of urgency, to raise his guard in a way that somehow goes beyond what this world has accustomed him to - and make no mistake, it's rare for him to fully let his guard down around most people all the same. Bruno Bucciarati is a sudden reminder that, after the Boss has taken over Team Rocket and found a way home, they will still have a major threat to deal with.
Unfortunately, the Wobbuffet he's brought with him didn't get the memo, because it responds to the nervous little Shuppet's agitation with a guarded, but nevertheless loud "Woooooooobb?"]
Ah!
[So much for keeping his distance and observing... At least Bucciarati shouldn't know who he is. But if the Boss calls him with instructions, he'll have to be discreet...]
no subject
It makes sense that he wouldn't be the only one who'd disregard any warning to keep out, but the Wobbuffet's noise still catches both him and the Shuppet off-guard. Bettina lets out something between a startled shriek and an annoyed hiss, clearly ready to go on the attack. Bucciarati lifts a hand, indicating for the small Ghost-type to stay put.]
Who's there?
[The Mimikyu that's still at his feet lets out a squeak in greeting.]
no subject
Oh, we're really in it now, Gomma.It... should be fine, though. He's not in any danger, right? For as long as they're here... it makes sense to treat Bucciarati as any other stranger.]Um, sorry!
[Taking a step closer, Doppio pats his Wobbuffet on the head, which it responds to by tapping its weird little feet on the ground.]
Gomma's a bit defensive... I think your Pokémon might have startled him.
no subject
Ah... sorry about that, then. Bettina's been a bit worked up since we got here...
[But at this point, she was the best choice to be out with him while he was exploring--quicker on the uptake than Teodoro, and less prone to scampering off than his Skitty.
The Shuppet glares at the Mimikyu, the primary source of her agitation. The Mimikyu is either oblivious or pretending to be.]
And I don't imagine the earlier commotion helped any, if you heard any of that.
[Sounds of an ongoing battle and all. Oops.]
no subject
I guess I missed it, but... What happened? Was it this little guy here?
[Doppio crouches down near the Mimikyu. Though he's heard about these guys, this is his first time seeing one up close. And it's pretty cute, but...]
Why does it look like it's been drawn on...?

B.
Whoa!
no subject
It doesn't take long for Bucciarati to come rushing over, seeming almost exasperated.]
Bettina! [He sighs and shakes his head before he turns to address Radley.] My apologies for her bothering you, I should've been keeping a better eye on her.
no subject
Oh well, you kinda have to get used to surprises here.
[He watches the Shuppet.]
She's a Ghost-type, right?
[His Pokemon come over, first making sure he's okay and then watching the Shuppet too.]
