You can get your own Gym? Interesting. Sounds like he's taken this life style to the heart.

[At his word, Jean arrived shortly, riding his Mega-Pidgeot. She was his top flier, and fast as a bullet. As he landed and dismounted, he took off his riding goggles. His face was beet red from being whipped by the wind, but the area around his eyes where his goggles laid was normal, giving him a raccoon look. His hair was blown straight back too.]

Captain. [Jean gave a relaxed salute. He'd been in this squad long enough to feel fairly at ease around Levi.] This is gonna sound weird, but it's good to see you.

[Levi gave a salute in return and didn't seem to mind that it was relaxed. Really with how things were here he wasn't expecing a lot of formality at this point. It would probably depend on the situation on how formal he wanted things.

Regardless, it was appreciated. It was also good seeing a familiar face and someone who was close toward his time. The comment earned a smirk/almost smile from Levi.]

I think you've been here too long to be saying something like that.

[Of course Togepi had to make noise and try to struggle in Levi's arms and meet Jean and the big bird like Pokemon. This was going to probably be a thing]

Appearantly this creature here is a Togepi...and seems to be connected with me. Why I don't know. I'm the worst caretaker there is. But it wants to be friend very person and Pokemon it sees. Say hi to it maybe we can move on to the main point of the meeting.

It's been a long time on my end. About two years.

[Penny cooed softly at the Togepi, and lowered her head to be eye-to-eye. While the Pidgeot was a seasoned battler, it was impossible for most Pokemon to resist the charms of such a little baby.]

Don't worry about it. I've raised my Pokemon tough, but they'd never hurt a little one like that.

....Two years?

[Levi couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the length of time. That made him wary. But this also proved the theory of how this world didn't hurt what was going on back at home. He moved closer so Togepi could interact with the giant bird. He didn't realize these creatures could get so big.]

I hope the rest of the Pokemon I eventually catch will can be tough. I don't see this happening with Togepi.

So. You're going to have to tell me what exactly you remember. I'm aware you had said it was before the Raid on Libero. Alot had happened and I don't wish to have to repeat what you already may know. This will also give you time to brace yourself as well.

Actually, that little guy can be a good fighter when he's done evolving too. Togekiss, I think? High special attack and special defense. Good movepool too. Lots of variation.

[Jean had really gotten into battling during his time here, and had studied and memorized most of the relevant info and general strategy involved. It was a good way to occupy his mind when he was still new.]

We were basically already in Libero. The very last thing I remember was getting ready to drop out of the blimps. Sasha and Connie were with me, Mikasa had already left, and Armin was hiding in the harbor waiting for his signal.

While waiting for you to arrive, I think it's simply best I don't explain what's going on. Even though originally I said I would. A lot went down and it's not something I feel really comfortable explaining or reliving those times.

It's better to live the life you're living now instead of worrying what happened back at home. When none of us can do a thing about it. Treasure what you have here. You've been here a long time. I don't want to ruin what you have here with the knowledge I have of home.

[Levi placed Togepi down so she could meet Jean and his big Pokemon.]

...I can understand that. There were some things I couldn't tell Armin. Sasha's never asked me anything, so I didn't tell her either.

[At least this way, Jean didn't have to worry about damage control. Armin would surely be angry at him for withholding what he did, but he felt like it would only disturb him. So he couldn't hold anything against Levi for taking this approach.]

[It occurs to Jean that that meant something REALLY awful must've happened, but... He was expecting that anyways, so it wasn't a shock.]

They're a bit... different, from what you remember, but it's for the better. More relaxed, mostly. They've only ever had to fight Titans.

[He realized he sounded really weird, like fighting Titans wasn't a huge deal already, but he personally considered all the human life he's had to take to be far more impactful on his psyche.]

[He gave a nod in agreement. He realy wouldn't people to fight Titans in general. It can really change a person having to deal with them and he saw many fall apart after dealing with one. Or having to loose someone they cared about from them. He lost so many people that he was emotionally numb from it...which really wasn't good either.]

It probably is better. Everyone can have the life they didn't get to have at home.

They've got that here. Armin spends all this time in books and out doing his research with marine Pokemon. Sasha's food aggression's gotten way better now that she can eat whatever she wants whenever she wants.

Oh, and there's Mikasa too. She's little though, like, nine-ish? So don't talk to her about... anything. From her perspective, Shiganshina hasn't even fallen yet.

This is good to hear. I don't plan on telling anyone information from home. It'll just be safer this way.

[He tenses a little at the mention of Sasha and the sheer age difference for Mikasa, but that quickly disappears. With the was this place acts...he might end up seeing other people over time.]

I'm not surprised to see how much time Armin is spending with the ocean. Considering how he was the main one to drag us to the ocean back at home.

[Levi's emotions are generally difficult to read, so Jean barely perceives that moment of pain. He leaves it alone.]

Yeah. He really loves it. Seeing him totally come into his own like that, become what he was meant to... Makes me wish our world wasn't such a shithole. That he didn't end up getting burdened the way he did.

[Being the Colossal Titan was a heavy yoke, one that would eventually kill him.]
