[Radley is taking a walk with his two Eevees when they see the odd person. Radley isn't at all sure what to make of the paper bag set-up. Is he tremendously shy? He'll only draw more attention to himself. Radley decides, as he usually does, to go over.]

Hi there. Need some help?

[The man jumps nearly a foot in the air, flailing for a moment with a noise akin to a squeak. He clearly wasn't expecting to be approached, and appraises the stranger for a moment before haphazardly gesturing to the General All of himself.]

I seem to have misplaced my... everything? All I have are these... things someone gave me, and -- where is that music even coming from?!

[His thoughts cut off in frustration, looking around for a source, before becoming exasperated and returning attention to his helper.] I'm missing SEVERAL very important things, I swear I had them all on me before I arrived here, wherever 'here' is.

[crystalmaster]

[Radley sighs sympathetically.]

No one can figure out the music thing. As for your stuff, most of it doesn't come with you when you end up here. Although ... I was thinking pocket items usually came....

[He still has his deck, for one thing.]

Well of course Id be the exception to that.

[He sighs bitterly, giving up his search for the most part, pulling out the ball instead.] Is there some place these things go? I had some very dangerous devices, and I'm not responsible for the damage they cause while I don't have an eye on who does what with them! [He seems more bothered with the idea of not having them than he does that second statement, still absent-mindedly patting at his pockets, as though he might have missed it, while looking over the object before presenting it to the stranger.] ... any chance you know anything about this as well? [Is this a common occurrence, what's happened? He seems to at least be calming down and adapting, now that he has some help.]

I'm not sure where they go. Maybe they just stay home.

[Radley looks at the Pokeball.]

Yeah, this is standard for everyone here. There's a new friend for you inside.

[He gestures at his Eevees.]

Maybe it'll look like these cuties, or maybe it'll be something else. There's several hundred possible animals that might be in there. You can also use empty Pokeballs to catch more of them. They're not just good companions, but really helpful in this world. They also often like to battle each other. You can get money by winning battles against other people who have them.

... that's a worse thought. [Demencia, free at home to use all his inventions? Hes shivers just thinking about it.

The man's next words drag his attention back, though. He looks to the creatures accompanying him - this. Really seemed like the common species here. Animal-like but just a little off. He blinks, looking more and more intrigued with every point.]

... fascinating. This is common, then? Fighting them against each other? [He sounded skeptical. The things in front of him could give 505 a run for his money in cuteness.] ... not with these ones, right? I'm sure they make adorable lap animals.

It is, although I'm not crazy about it. These two can fight if they have to, but I prefer them being mostly pets.

[He grins.]

They are great lap animals, yeah.

[That made sense to him. Though he was curious how it was still so big, they couldn't all be this cute, right? He puts attention back on the ball, fumbling a bit to figure out how it works, until--

He cant help the noise of surprise at the noise it makes when it finally does work, and sure enough, there it was. His own creature!

... this was not disproving his initial impressions. He forgets Radley entirely for a moment, dropping down to look closer at the Munna.]

Well you're no better than them, are you?? [Said with an absolute incredulity. Was it too late to ask for a different one...?]

[crystalmaster]

[Radley jumps a bit when it suddenly works. He looks at the Munna with curious fascination.]

Hey, that's one I haven't seen before.

[Evie the Eevee exclaims in delight and tries to entreat the Munna to play.]

Then I take it you can't tell me what it is...

[He sighs, straightening back up, brushing himself off. The Munna seems a bit on guard, Flug watching as it circles, trying to figure out the Eevee first. There's a renewed spark of interest at the fact that it seems to be levitating. It seems there were more mysteries to solve about these things.]

They're interesting, aren't they?? How long have you been here? You seem to know a fairly decent amount about everything!

[crystalmaster]

I'm afraid not.

[Evie stares with huge eyes at the levitating. She jumps, wanting to play the game too! Evan the other Eevee looks more wary.]

They sure are interesting.

[Radley is also a bit wary, on guard in case the Munna gets aggressive at his Eevees.]

I've only been here maybe a month and a half, but I had to learn fast to keep up.

[The Munna doesn't seem as playful, but seems to warm to Evie, rising and falling in counter to the jumps.]

Something I'm good at! Not to brag.

[Finally, he offers a yellow gloved hand.]

... Dr. Kenning Flugslys. Or... just Flug, if that's too hard. Still a little... unsure about what's happening. But I appreciate you answering my questions. I suppose I'll have to do my best to figure it out on my own from here! Also not... sure what my next step is...

Then you'll probably do fine.

[He chuckles at the Pokemon antics and then snaps back to attention. He shakes Flug's hand.]

I'm Radley.

Yeah, it is pretty confusing. As near as I can tell, everyone chooses their own path. They usually wander around until they find a place to settle down, or sometimes they keep wandering. This is where I'm thinking of making my home base, but I might travel some more too. I like seeing all the sights.
