Yeah, you're ba-- [Lance's mouth is moving faster than his brain, as per usual, but he just manages to catch himself before saying much more and confusing Hunk a whole lot more too.] Yeah, sometimes that happens. You're here, and then you're not, and then you're here again. Sometimes you remember, sometimes you don't. General you, by the way. It happens to everybody. In your case, you just forgot. No big deal. We'll help you settle back in.

[He gives Hunk a pat on the shoulder that he hopes is comforting. Lance, though with some muscle gain (not too much now. Keith still beats him in that department) and a couple inches of height in the last few years doesn't look too different. His ears are pierced, skin even more tan from hanging out on the beach in the front yard, but most of all is the ring circling his finger on his left hand. That piece comes with a long story to bring Hunk up to speed on.]

Man, it's been so long. Like years, bro. [Lance squints and tilts his head.] What's the last thing you remember happening at home?

That's not creepy or anything.

[Being somewhere and totally not remembering it? That's just going to sit unnervingly in him for a little while.]

[It does look like it's been years though, and that's... well, it's hard to believe with the evidence right before him like this. He can't even absorb the presence of a ring right now 'cause there's just so much happening at once with one person.]

We were recovering from a Galra occupation of Earth. We won... so... the universe is okay. [He'll say that much. That's easy, right?]

It could be worse. You could have croaked and come here as a ghost and none of us could see you except the ghost-type Pokemon. Or you can be a zombie. Zombies always suck.

[Lance can't relate to this unnerved feeling. When he left, he came back with his memory. Lucky schmuck.]

Oh good. We're from the same time then. So's Pidge. But Shiro's not. Neither is Allura and probably Keith. I don't know who decided to have some timewarp fun when dragging us here, but that's how it is. It's some real bullshit, dude.

[At least Hunk won't have to watch what he talks about around Lance. He knows what happens to Cuba and a few of his family members. He just doesn't like that it happened to begin with nor does he like remembering that it did. Conceal, don't feel.]

Does that happen to people?! Do people come here as ghosts?! [Okay now that thought is in his head. Here he's been, enjoying his magical land of magical animals and rolling sheep and adorable things.]

Yeah, it seems like you've been here a while. I would definitely have noticed by now. Dude, you got buff. [Comparitively buff, anyway.] And you're wearing a ring and stuff. [Finally he's noticing that little inexplicable detail.]

[He thinks. He hasn't actually asked anybody if they showed up post-death yet which would be a good idea before opening his fat trap.

It would just be better if he stopped talking about weird shit knowing how easy it is to rile Hunk up, but when has Lance ever did the smart thing?]

Yeah, I did. Lifting Pokeballs paid off.

[Lance barely lets the mild compliment leave Hunk's mouth before he's flexing his arms and puffing his chest out. Please. He's still so pathetic with the peacocking.

But that ring, right? Lance wiggles his left hand a with a stupid grin on his face.]

Oh, this? Blame Pidge. If she wanted us to elope, then I wanted to at least get a ring out of the deal.

[He says ever so casually as if he's discussing the weather and not the fact he's married to the one person no one ever expected him to be. Somehow being Mr. McClain-Holt for the last couple years is just what he is now.]

[It's about 30% compliment and 70% an observation of the inexplicable that is Lance beefing up. But that Lance is married to Pidge really has Hunk having that 'Yup, I stepped right into an alternate universe!' feeling.]

U-uhhhh .... [He stammers out, expression going slack while his face is busy deciding what the best thing to do is.] Congratulations?

[Did Pidge suddenly get really femme or something? What's happening?]
