They love attention. And they are very soft.

Do they get stuck in their shell, too?

[The Eevees are thrilled to be petted, especially the girl.]

Uh ... shell? Oh, you mean their eggs! Well, I haven't heard of that happening with Eevees, but I guess I'll find out soon. I'm raising an Eevee egg.

[The Togepi is perfectly happy, but Deuce is still gonna worry.]

Should I ask a vet or something?

I think so. I'm almost 100% sure it's normal for them, but you could ask in any Pokemon Center.

[He smiles.]

It's nice to see so much concern.

She's a baby. I don't want her to be sick or something!

[He sounds legitimately offended that someone is surprised he's concerned.]

[Radley sighs to himself.]

Of course. I'm sorry. I came from a place where concern for others wasn't often on anyone's mind. It's ... kind of hard getting used to it not being the same everywhere.

[Not to mention he was disowned before that.]

She's a baby. She just hatched! She's, she's like a chick!

[At least he doesn't do the asshole thing and say "wow your world sucks". That's Ace's deal.]

I'm not an asshole anymore.

Yes, yes, she is. Well, there's probably a Pokemon Center near here....

[He takes out his PokeGear to check.]

There's one just up the road.

[He quirks an eyebrow at the other statement.]

Good for you.

[Then he sighs again. This just doesn't seem to be his week....]

I'm sorry if I implied you were. I didn't mean it like that. I just ... haven't been having the best time of it lately.

[He straightens up and offers a hand.]

[Radley is surprised, but smiles. He shakes Deuce's hand.]

[Wait a sec. He glances around, suddenly worried.]

D'you see a Wynaut?

["Eevee!" says the female Eevee, looking towards the brush.]

[deuceswild]

[And there goes the Wynaut in question, laughing and running away the entire time.]

Oh, shi--uh, sorry, I've gotta go get him!

[crystalmaster]

[Radley stands by in case any assistance is needed. He knows some Pokemon are very wily. But most Trainers know how to deal with them, so Radley doesn't want to interfere unless asked.]
